Obasanjo Remains The Best! by ayobase(m): 7:10pm On Jan 26, 2009 |
It is so saddening to realise how we rendered useless of equipments in our developing days. I say it anywhere and I will continue to say it. 'Obasanjo remains the ever BEST president in Nigeria so far', yes with his shortcomings though Yes,everyone has his shortcomings and weak points, but Obasanjo proved himself worthy. we all know how our economy was before he stepped in. the 15% to 85% Back to my point I was at one of NEPA`s(PHCN) sub-stations 2days ago in Abuja.couldn`t believe what I was seeing. well seeing is believing in this case. Who said Obasanjo never tried to actualise the dream of power supply to our Naija. Yes,the unfortunate hero did. Saw 450million worth of new(2006 brand) transformers,Circuit Breakers, Current/Voltage transformers, inter alia left outside within the premisis There, they experience raining, winter, sunny, dew, &, seasons Those are just in A sub-station here in Abuja, then I wonder what must be going on in others that I have not been. Remember the transformation he made in hospitals, but the equipments he provided with the hospital in Zaria after the death of Stella beats my imagination. Provided the hospital with the equivalent equipments to that of the hospital where his wife died. No one has to tavel abroad for medical attentions except through the hospital approvals. Obasanjo has shown himself as a good example. where are we today since Obasanjo left. Forward or backward? Obansanjo still remains the best president ever had!!! We want more of stubborn president like that. Towards the the vision of 2020 obasanjo had bricklayed a good/solid foundation. Where are these new regime contribution towards this building. 1 Like |

@ Poster, I feel U jare, OBJ remains the best. At least, during his days the corrupt politicians who had access to public funds were under pressure from Ribadu ( No mattere how selective) unlike what we are seeing now where the EFCC will turn blind eyes to politicians excesses and decide to go after innocent business men and civil servants while the men in corridors of power loot the treasury blind. |
Re: Obasanjo Remains The Best! by philip0906(m): 1:15pm On May 02, 2009 |
Nigeria is a country with over 140million prople.during obj's regime only 100,000 people benefited 4rm his policies.subtract 100,000 4rm 140million nd cee what u will get .so maybe u all fall into d "lucky" few who benefitted 4rm his policies nd now hailing him(very normal). And 2 reply directly 2 the topic, there r other people who did betta than him even b4 I was born into this world.Atleast I have heard of dat man called IDIAGBON(is dat d correct spelling?) |
Re: Obasanjo Remains The Best! by SapeleGuy: 1:17pm On May 02, 2009 |
The best of a failed bunch doesn't change the fact that he failed. Opening poster and friends- what you guys are doing is celebrating ineptitude and mediocrity. It is not even worth discussing further. |
Re: Obasanjo Remains The Best! by philip0906(m): 1:21pm On May 02, 2009 |
@sapeleGuy Thank u! That is exactly y I said,. so maybe u(they) all fall into d "lucky" few who benefitted 4rm his policies nd now hailing him(very normal). |

Re: Obasanjo Remains The Best! by blacksta(m): 1:53pm On May 02, 2009 |
SapeleGuy: Please dont listen to this Guy. Now they are failed . I remember in the other thread you were celebrating them pls make up your mind |
Re: Obasanjo Remains The Best! by SapeleGuy: 3:26pm On May 02, 2009 |
LOL - Blacksta - 'you be troublemaker!' I was quite clear in the other thread, that I will not stop supporting my country because of bad leaders or wazobiarism. The fact that I support our country & our people doesn't mean I support mismanagement and corruption. As I said the people are not the government. In that other thread I celebrated the courage of our people, freedom fighters, artists, poets, mothers and fathers struggling to provide for their children. When you guys damn Nigeria without exception, you condemn the good people in the country. |
Re: Obasanjo Remains The Best! by ezeagu(m): 3:42pm On May 02, 2009 |
I guess the standards are so low because of the state of this country. . . . . . . . |
Re: Obasanjo Remains The Best! by yousouph(m): 3:58pm On May 02, 2009 |
Maybe between baba Iyabo & Yaraslow, Obj is better so far but saying he is the best after 8 years of unrealistic future, maximum looting & basic amenities sky rockecting, then he is the best for the holi poli whom are richer everyday. |
Re: Obasanjo Remains The Best! by porka: 11:39pm On May 02, 2009 |
one point is very, very clear. many nigerians began having confidence in themselves during obasanjo's 8 years tenure. that, to me, is the most important achievement. |
Re: Obasanjo Remains The Best! by redsun(m): 11:58pm On May 02, 2009 |
But how can some one like obasanjo have such a stiff grip on nigeria?na waoo,we de slack oo.The new generation seems bleeped up,having no say whatsoever. |
Re: Obasanjo Remains The Best! by Spoofed(m): 12:25am On May 03, 2009 |
He sure does remain the best. The best of the looters who mastermined the most elaborate schemes to plunder the states' coffers and remains so untouchable that Wazari won't dare point a finger at him. Come to think of it why would Wazari do that if she's under his payroll? |
Re: Obasanjo Remains The Best! by dayokanu(m): 3:28am On May 03, 2009 |
Sure OBJ was the best we had so many people killed like never before. Odi, Zaki Biam, Bola Ige, Dikibo, Harry Marshall, The worst selection in history(Ekiti people are still suffering), Andy Uba No wonder he was pelted with rotten tomatoes a while back |
Re: Obasanjo Remains The Best! by Jakumo(m): 7:36am On May 03, 2009 |
Tanking into account the number of Nigerians who sickened and died as a direct result of there being no electricity to pump safe drinking water out of wells throughout the country, and no electricity to power life-saving hospital equipment, Obasanjo's looting of the entire 16 billion dollar federal budgetary allocation originally intended for the resuscitation of Nigeria's grid electricity infrastructure marks that former dictator as the most prolific mass murderer Nigeria has ever seen, bar none. Predictably, Obasanjo's former errand boys and publicists will no doubt regard their paymaster as the greatest human being to walk the earth since Mother Theresa, but those sentiments are logical in the context they are expressed. |
Re: Obasanjo Remains The Best! by chidichris(m): 10:04am On May 03, 2009 |
Sure OBJ was the best we had so many people killed like never before. dayokanu, i am in love. i know u have something to offer and here u are. that is why i said u were not fit in sports forum but i can see u delievering here. more of this. @poster, have u ever find out the meaning of best in the dictionary? who are u comparing obj with? who has ever served eight uninterupted years with oil boom in nigeria as a president as well as the petrolium minister? you wrote,Who said Obasanjo never tried to actualise the dream |
Re: Obasanjo Remains The Best! by redsun(m): 10:26am On May 03, 2009 |
Obasanjo was a kingpin in ITT contract illusion in the 70's nigeria,a kingpin in 16 billion dollars power generation illusion and a kingpin in this current halliburton contract saga, yet some people still think he is a messiah. Like Fela said in one of his songs-In the country of the blind, one eyed man is the king.BBC aka big blind country. How long will we continue to be blind to reality before we phase out the no good old school politicians that permanently put nigeria on reverse? |
Re: Obasanjo Remains The Best! by Topsido(m): 11:35am On May 04, 2009 |
redsun: Need i correct you again? there is no such thing as 16 billion dollar saga, OBJ HAS BEEN VINDICATED. As far as am concerned OBASANJO IS THE BEST PRESIDENT NIGERIA HAS EVER HAD, PERIOD! |
Re: Obasanjo Remains The Best! by KunleOshob(m): 2:03pm On May 04, 2009 |
@OP You have my support on this topic, that is what i have always been trying to tell all these ignorant anti-OBJ folks who have been blinded by negative press propanganda due to his poor relationship with the Nigerian press, true baba had his short comings but to this date he remains the greatest Nigerian leader ever. |
Re: Obasanjo Remains The Best! by Fhemmmy: 2:30pm On May 04, 2009 |
I cant imagine reading this again. OBJ being the best, i will love to know what this guy has done to be a great leader. |
Re: Obasanjo Remains The Best! by redsun(m): 2:32pm On May 04, 2009 |
Vindicated by who?By the same corrupt committee of of dem dem. According to Fela- Election story nko, obasanjo plan and very well He take old politcians way rule nigeria before The same old politicians, way spoil nigeria before Obasanjo carry all of dem,all of dem dey there now The young african get two ears for head, dem get two eyes too. Dem dey see the things way dey happen Few people dey fat with the big money The rest dey hungry Na wayo government we dey, E gba mi oo Na paddy paddy government we dey Ekpa ri kpa oo Extract from Fela's army arrangement, talking about the failed second republic,he will be rolling in his grave to think that obasanjo came back to rule nigeria again. Who are telling there is no weed in the farm? |

You have my support on this topic, that is what i have always been trying to tell all these ignorant anti-OBJ folks who have been blinded by negative press propanganda due to his poor relationship with the Nigerian press, true baba had his short comings but to this date he remains the greatest Nigerian leader ever. KunleOshob, wow! another dimension. from the best to the greatest nigerian leader. what a wonderful man we have in obj. have u ever thought of the founding fathers of this country? maybe they are not leaders or they are not great leaders. i do not see any point in this arguement. i will rather ask that the name of this country be changed to obasanjo as a way of paying back to a man who has done so much good to this country. again, this great man in his great abilities have brought nigeria this far in all ramifications. he has brought us to a state where south africa under aperthied is better than nigeria. he is so great that he also left nigeria as the only country in darkness in this whole world. what a great man he is. is so unfortunate that this same great man has further divided nigeria into major political war zones. the hatred in the niger delta, the ekiti/oyo thugry, the chris/ngige rigging saga, the odi massacre, the bola ige criminal killing, funsho williams demise, the iwu movies, the ribadu drama, the tony annenih contracts politics, yar adua must rule issue, his third term agenda etc are all parts and parcel of this greatest man in the history of the world. |
Re: Obasanjo Remains The Best! by Akabiboy(m): 4:21pm On May 04, 2009 |
@Poster. I can deduce from your post that you are one of: 1) A political sycophant 2) A political Jober 3) A political Prostitute Or you dont know the meaning or significance of great and visionary leadership. Take for instance the western word, Do you think the development they are enjoying today is a product of a leaders like obj? someone that failed to finished a stretch of road that is less than 100KMs within his 8years of rule. If we keep having people like obj deciding our future, even at my young age i dont think i will be around to enjoy the so called dividend of democracy. Development is a product of years of sacrifice on the part of leaders and the followers. |
Re: Obasanjo Remains The Best! by Fhemmmy: 4:22pm On May 04, 2009 |
Akabi_boy: I so much second you on this, i am yet to read anything positive that was done by OBJ in 8 years. |
Re: Obasanjo Remains The Best! by kevd2: 6:46pm On May 04, 2009 |
Obasanjo apologist's only shows us that Nigerians are a physcologically defeated people, imagine the a man who has the character to sleep with his daughter inlaw is Nigeria's best president just shows how low we have reduced ourselves to. |
