riczy:We are having a meeting with high commissioner to today to prepare for evacuation process. Unfortunately many Nigerians having big businesses and hotels here are not even ready to come home saying over years they invested so much and if they come to Nigeria now the government won't do anything for them . While some have stayed up to 15years.There are some set also who are applied for permit for the past 2years still pending at home affairs but they have registered businesses THOSE ONES SAY THAT PLANE IS NOT FOR THEM. On a serious note the situation is calm now and foreigners are opening their shops and businesses in Durban.President Zuma was in Durban yesterday to address the people .However other townships are tensed now because hungry locals are warming up to start looting while foreigners especially Nigerians are warming up defense policemen working 24hours a day because most times looting and killing take place at night .Right now the whole world is condemning SA govt so the government is now acting before they only condemning while locals were looting no action was carried out to stop them. 1 Like |

SmoothCrim: "Immigrants have nothing to do with the success of the UK" - so slavery contributed nothing to the UK's wealth, how about the wealth that was stolen from Nigeria during colonialism and the wealth that is still being stolen by way of extortionate foreign loans with inflated interest rates, the exploitation of our crude oil, brain drain, unfair trade agreements, aiding and abetting of corrupt regimes, the list goes on and on and on......... |

We are aware of the latest attacks/violence in South Africa on immigrants in which many have died including Nigerians caused by reported comments by Zulu King Goodwill Zwelithini, that foreigners should “pack their bags” and leave. Does that not sound very similar to a recent xenophobic speech made by the Oba in Lagos. We are lucky that southern part Nigeria is not as tensed up as South Africans and that Igbos are sophisticated people. 1 Like |

NO WONDER AHMADU BELLO DESCRIBED THE IGBOS AS THE JEWS OF NIGERIA. THEY TEND TO DOMINATE WHEREVER THEY GO. YOU THINK YOU CAN DOMINATE THE ZULUS. WE YORUBAS ARE WATCHING, WHEN YOUR CUP IS FULL, YOU WILL SEE OUR TRUE COLOURS. |

Xenophobia: Let there be a Civilized Reaction- It is true; decapitation can never be the medication or solution to headache as a health challenge. Other Nations must not react by targeting South African nationals in their countries- an eye for eye shall definitely produce a continent of the colonies of the blinds. As Nigerians however, our leaders should ensure that Nigerians still within the borders of South Africa are brought back if the xenophobic warriors are seriously no longer willing to permit foreign nationals. However, Nigerians are now justified to react in a civilized manner to the ‘battle cry’ emanating from the custodians of River Limpopo. Let us at least show solidarity with our brothers and sisters who are currently being hunted like rats by showing our displeasures by collectively refusing to patronize ‘shopRite’ stores till further notice… We have to do something at least to show our trapped brethren that we are concerned… I know there are Nigerians working in shopRite, but for how long shall will allowed such insults in the name of mundane ‘employment opportunities’. Now is the time for us as a Nation to show our displeasure by refusing to patronize shopRite stores for a start. And if needs be later, Nigerians must be willing to accommodate whatever discomfort necessary by boycotting other South African parastatals in Nigeria. “No” to ShopRite!!! We need a civilized reaction NOW. Kindly share… 1 Like |

STOP XENOPHOBIA OR ELSE.......! Below are some of South African investment in Nigeria, and they (Zulus) are killing our people, destroying their properties for investing in South Africa: MTN Nigeria (with above 57 million subscribers, and a net worth around $ 10 billion ~ N2 trillion). Power Giant, Eskom Nigeria, South African Airways, South African Breweries (SAB miller), Stanbic Merchant Bank of Nigeria, Multichoice, Umgeni Water, Refresh products, PEP Retail Stores, Shoprite, LTA Construction, Protea Hotels, Critical Rescue International, South African-Nigeria Communications, Global Outdoor Services. To mention but few. Many of their businesses spread accross African continent; Anglo or Franco phone countries. Yet they have effrontery to kill resident foreigners in South Africa. They should stop xenophobia now! Or we would declare war against them and their businesses around us. Rebroadcast please........... |
