Many People criticised the prophet, Suleiman Johnson, over his prophecy on Nigeria and the 2015 Elections.

I have an understanding of the difference between the two. Can someone else give us his own thought about the difference between Prophecy and Prediction.

Thanks.

Prophets are there to warn and to instruct. If prophecy are worked on, we can alter what was prophesied.
People who took prophecy for prediction will end up angry as Jonah the prophet who after he delivered the message took himself to a mounting waiting for his words to be accomplished; the Ninivites had already taken action to avert the destruction prophesied.

Prediction involves making use of facts to tell of an event. For any prediction to hold, the words in economics, "all things being equall" must hold. In other to make an accurate prediction, a series of test need to be done to eliminate possible errors. This is why any one that predicts usually works hard to ensure the predictions comes true.

Prophecy is a demonstration of the Spirit while prediction is a demonstration of brain or mind.

All those who criticised the man Aposlte really dont know the difference between prophecy and prediction. The Man of God has said what he was sent to say and men have prayed for the God to show mercy and events have turned. For the fact that he has prophecied does not make it cast in concrete, God has the final say.

Predictions on the other hand are more scientific based, that is trials over time of how events have turn out to be such as weather forecast.
