This is good so long as no partiality between the two religions is allowed. The church from time immemorial was never known to contribute to noise polution. It came with the advent of commercial business worship centres amongst the penticostal churches. There are churches and mosques in the Republic of Benin but you never hear of noise polution day or night. Nigeria is where people believe in doing things to the extreme in order to impress out of lawlessness and indifference to our neighbours' convenience.

One unique thing about Jehovah's Witnesses is that they dont make noise during their service..No external speaker!

Seconded to the move. A major reason why I avoided the church close to my house for a distant one is to be able to "complain" about the torture they subject us to in the name of praises on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays.

My family happens to be one of the first set of non-yorubas to live in Ojota when it was more of a forest and people did make fun of my parents for living in a 'village' as they fetched water at a stream from the present Ogudu G.R.A!

Palm wine tappers were a common sight back then. Where the Ogudu police station is now located is where pupils from the different public schools used to gather to fight on Fridays!

I can't just understand any justification of why they make so much noise.
They'll be having night vigil and will still drum and use speakers in the middle

Anytime i come home, i wish i could just get so much $ to go get me a new house

I think it is a good move.. however it should not stop there, there are particular weekends in Obalende where an Iman preaches Hate to Muslims gathered in Hausa. This is inciting hatred and animosity in a region that is culturally and socially diverse. This must be investigated and the iman arrested and jailed. Why preach hatred when Islam is Peace. I charge every peaceful Muslim in the ISLAM section to investigate this matter and report it appropriately.
