Popular Lagos Pastor Disappears With Member’s N10m

A popular pastor in Lagos identified as Timothy Gabriel has reportedly bolted with one of his church member’s N10million.

The church member (name withheld) had given the money to the pastor to pray over it before using it to start a business in Lagos.

The pastor resides at Jakande Estate, Ejigbo, where he also uses as his church.

According to PM News report, the victim with hopes of starting a new business had obtained the money as a loan from a bank with an interest.

It was learnt that before he went to get the loan from the bank, he had approached his pastor, who he regarded as his spiritual father. The pastor had informed him that he pray to God on his behalf so that the bank will give him the loan.

On getting the loan, he went to inform his spiritual father again. This time, the pastor asked him to bring the money, saying God revealed to him that the money was blood money and if he used it for the business he intended to use it for, it will be unsuccessful.


The pastor allegedly told him that he would anoint the money and pray over it for three days before he would be able to use for his new business.

The victim in obedience to his spiritual father took the money to him at his home at Jakande Estate which also serves as his church and was told to come back in three days’ time to collect the money.

On the third day, he returned to collect his money but met the shock of his life as the pastor had packed his property and fled with the money.

He then reported the matter to the police at Ejigbo.

Confirming the incident, police sources at the Ejigbo station said they are now on a manhunt for him.

Scandals have continued to rock the lives of some Nigerian pastors. Some have been accused of fraudulent activities while others have been accused of rape.

About a week ago, a 32-year-old pastor, Abel Benard Aniude of Trimphant Kings Assembly, Enugu, allegedly duped a 25-year-old woman, Ojiaku Chiamaka of N4 million.

Because he has been caught abi? All the ones that are getting away with it are 'original' pastors ehn? Until they too get caught.

Analyse it yourself... the proportion of EXPOSED pastoral thieves, swindlers, drug mules, adulterers and what have you as a percentage of the population of pastors; is much higher than that of the general population. Of course, only God knows what the results would be like if we were to factor in those pastors that have not yet been caught red-handed; and those that have been covered up (as in 'names withheld').

This leads one to think that there is something about being 'holy spirit' filled that drives pastors especially, to criminal behaviour.

Of course, that will also lead us to believe that what is filling xtian pastors/ cattle rearers, is far from being holy.

It is to be expected actually, anyone who lies about the Almighty God just to gain the pleasures of this world (read multi million dollar mansions and private jets), is capable of any possible criminal act under the sun.
