warriboy21: 10 kids!!! Lol. Your papa be like my papa - action man. Just be "born-ing" left right center. Chai. Anyways, this is a tricky one but its always advisable you tell the truth. I doubt any V.O would give you a denial because of the number of siblings that you have. I think what really matters is how well you present your case coupled with the weight of your Sponsor's (in this case your Dad) account and a lot of God's grace. How would the V.O find out?: Previously, from your DS-160. But lately, i noticed the DS-160 no longer requests for number of siblings. Only for number of siblings who live in the US. But note that V.O's are trained psychologist. While they may not be mind readers, the way you respond to their questions may indicate if your telling the truth or not. Lastly, telling a lie might have unforeseen repercussions for your siblings in the future. Let's assume you get the visa, which you will by the grace of God. What happens when one of siblings apply for a visa? How can he/she escape the section of the DS-160 that says "do you have any sibling, or immediate relative" currently in the U.S? 2 Likes |

bbdd: U didn't read what I wrote? I said I applied to only just two schools and its reflecting on my GRE score sheet. The reason why I asked for a school that doesn't require GRE is because I want to inform the VO that I applied to a third school that didn't require GRE and I didn't bother sending the score to the school. So I want to use that school as an excuse. 1 Like |

Hello guys, i just filled my DS-160 form and booked appointment. The earliest available date is Aug 11 and i chose it like that. However, I cant afford to do my interview on that date because it's too close to resumption,so i need to chose an earlier date. Please which of these options is more viable: 1) Using the expedited option (how does it work) 2) Staying up late to see if i can reschedule to an earlier date. (Someone mentioned on this thread that he/she was able to get a closer date by doing this) PS...i didn't see any field asking for number of siblings or whatever. Though on my homepage, under family details, it listed 0 members. |

hi all, am kind of new to this thread... here goes my question... I was recently offered an admission for an undergraduate degree, even tho I have a first degree, but I am not willing to make this known to the VO. I am 28yrs of age... tho I have travelling experience spanning over 13yrs to the UK, I want to ask what r my chances of being approved a visa... p.s I would be telling them I am working at my dads factory for the 12years gap in education as my father me the head supervisor of his company as he couldn't entrust it with another individual. please what are my chances at the embassy? |

Good day house. My initial application for a MS program was for Spring 2015 but was denied visa. I deferred my admission till Fall 2015 and I was granted visa. However, at the mmt, arrangement never set well and I want to know if it is safe n advisable to request another deferment from the school till Spring 2016 while I stay bk in Nigeria OR I make the trip to the US ( I have funds for that), appear in person at the school then ask for deferment till the next semester. Please I need to know the risks involved, I await your helpful responses. Thanks |

darkola: Darkola, I will advise you to mail your graduate coordinator and also international graduate admission office to know how feasible it can be. Every school has its own policy. I deferred once. |

pugilist: The second option is better. You don't even have to stay up late. Just keep checking the site at regular intervals. You will most likely get an earlier date. You can start checking from 12 noon. I went with this route and i got an earlier date. |
Re: General U.s.a (student) Visa Enquiries-part 7 by pugilist: 10:55pm On Jul 07, 2015 |
DanjaNinja: Thanks for your response. So all i have to do is use the reschedule appointment link, right? I also noticed that i didn't encounter anything like "Sign Application". Is this normal? I thought they said you fill work experience in the DS-160 form too. I no see anything like that for my own oo...Guys, please, am I missing things? |
