My reply was based on your question: how to download large files. And was correct. Of course, garbage-in-garbage-out.
If you are more specific, then my reply will be more specific. Maybe you should be more detailed, by telling us the operating system you are using, if it is 32 or 64 bits, and also tell us the specific antivirus you wish to download so that you will get more accurate information or rather specific information.

must always sit tight and watch your download.
Thats bad enough!

You want to Download a Huge File?
Like one of the posters suggested, Get a Download Client, IDM (Internet Download Manager) or DAP (Download Accelerator Plus) there are other types
If you use a fast connection like a LAN (Local Area Network) Connection, Consider searching for a Torrent Version of the File and get a Bitorrent client like uTorrent, Azerus, Limewire or any other. You can search for Torrent Files at www.mininova.org, www.piratebay.org , or just Google Search.
If you use a DialUp, Stick to the Internet Download Manager.

i prefer flashget myself; dap splits the files anto parts and once one part is finished the speed reduces; flashget on
the other hand also splits however when a part is finished, if there is much still left to download, one of the other parts is split again

Basic thing is to have a download manager program of your choice and preferably., it's better when the files are "shredded" into parts to download one by one
