hello nairalanders Still expecting my COE from the university , got a mail requesting for additional documents(which I will send), and they also added this clause.. is it like forewarning me not to mention that I have close relatives in Australia? DIBP Ministerial Direction No 53 Alert related to an Applicant’s Close Family Ties in Australia: This applicant has an Australian-based paternal aunty and Uncle who are residing in Australia as a citizen and is also participating in the financial sponsorship of this applicant. Keeping the requirements of Ministerial Direction No 53 in mind, the fact that the applicant has very closely related Australian-based relatives, may bring additional focus to this case when it is being assessed by DIBP officials, who are required to assess GTE conditions more closely when an applicant already has established family links in Australia. Therefore, the applicant needs to be made aware of this so she may be in a better position to address this subject with confidence if DIBP assessing officers insist on a student visa interview in order to investigate this issue |

For those who can't wait for IOM or just as a second option, try this route: Lagos - SouthAfrica Via Ethiopian Airline with minimal stopover in Addis Ababa. SA- Melbourne with minimal stopover at Singapore. There are other destinations in Oz. Quite cool. Just got mine all booked. Cheaper than the Asian route. 1 Like |

Hello House, Please i'd like to know... Is it compulsory to use an agent to apply for a masters programme to An Aussie university (cos i see most schools also have the 'Apply Online' Option)? Do you think using an agent would give me an advantage for an admission offer? Gurus please clarify this to me so i can make an informed decision. Thanks. cc; erictack203 bossladymo1 NNBB2012 |
Re: General Australian student Visa Enquiries Part 2 by Nobody: 11:02pm On Jul 07, 2015 |
deleyi20:It isn't but if they mandate u...no way out. I think most of them do nowadays. Agents get ur data and documents to the school...nothing more....so ur profile stands for u. |
Re: General Australian student Visa Enquiries Part 2 by Nobody: 11:09pm On Jul 07, 2015 |
ferdimako: I really Appreciate your timely response bro. Also, after getting an admission, must the person also go through same agent for Visa Application or can visa application stage be done independent of an Agent? |
