He was not prepared to be President. He was incompetent. His wife was the worst First Lady in the history of Nigeria since independence. She was the laughing stock of the rest of the world. And shamelessly unrepentant as a drama queen. 1 Like |

dre11: I laugh! Firstly, the NIS wasn't a scam! You were not tricked into it. Like a critical observant would notice, the expectations were just so enormous and took the organisers by surprise. If we go into details, we'd realised that just as the government is to be blamed, the individuals too would receive some blames too. Then again, there was nothing like SURE-P/FERMA task force. People just want to deliberately get their fingers burnt. You do not pay to get a job. If someone offers you that opportunity, know it is a scam. Thank God you acknowledged the Lagos-Ibadan dualisation project. Maybe it doesn't count to you as one area Jonathan used in taking us for granted! 1 Like 1 Share |

The fuel scarcity witnessed last week was what characterized most of Obasanjo's eight years in office but Nigerians cannot remember those years anymore. Those who think Jonathan was the worst president in Nigeria either have short memories or too biased to be realistic. The elections have been won and lost. The loser acknowledged defeat and the winner is ready to be sworn in on Friday. Nigerians know where to place their past leaders and i think history will be fair to Jonathan. The epistle on why Jona lost power is no longer relevant as the man is on his way home already. Direct your advice to the winner so that CHANGE will be rooted in our land. 2 Likes |

dre11: Sharrap there! See who's talking about civility? When by your flawed analysis, you're already insulting the sensibilities of informed Nigerians. Maybe you should re-read what you wrote just now. Did Jonathan stop the importation of fuel? Besides was it PMS or diesel? If the issue is just PMS, is diesel, kerosene and aviation fuel subsidised? Maybe you can explain how he grounded the economy by stopping importation of fuel. If people like you had allowed the removal of subsidy to scale through, government would not be in this dilemma. The thinking has always been that you do not always subsidise consumption because a time would come when you'd have reduced cash flow and that will impact negatively your productivity. Now imagine if subsidy was removed in 2012...all those money used in paying for subsidy would have been used in offsetting salary expenses and other current obligations even now with reduced income. That's what companies with a sense of continuity do. But Nigeria is a public enterprise, so every nick and dre11 is a shareholder. Don't talk about insult because I haven't insulted you. I don't think you want me to either. 2 Likes |

Islie: So sad that GEJ failed to leave his foot print in the sands of time. No legacy and what a wasted 5 or is it 6 years at the helm of affairs. Its so unbelievable that one can enjoy so much support and momentum, only to come crashing down like GEJ did. There are lessons learn t. No politician is bigger than the people and at the time of reckoning, the people will decide. Any Party or Politician that does not make the people its/his focal point will come crashing down. APC/ Buhari hope you will learn from PDP/GEJ mistakes. We supported you and we will not wast time to go against you if you start going the way of your predecessor. A word is enough for the wise!!! |

What is all these silly hate campaign against GEJ all about? Why don't you channel all your efforts on advising Buhari on how he will succeed? Maybe I should remind you that: - We still need to bring back our girls - End bokoharam crisis in the North - Provide Job for the teeming unemployed youths - End fuel crisis and reduce the pump price of PMS to at least $40 1 Like |

@ article Pretty fair article, but this is dead wrong ....Princess Stella Oduah was eventually eased out of office but it was already an act too little – no prosecution – and too late. Seeing as it was apparent she had ordered two cars with N255mn of taxpayers’ money It is Nigeria money, or oil money, but definitely not tax payers money this is so evident with the fall of oil price were governors are not able to meet their obligations though these mythical tax payers still exist in fact the money that government is borrowing is hinged on a hopeful future rise in the value of crude oil I doubt that Saudi Arabia goes about speaking about a hypothetical tax payer's money 1 Like |
