A man, simply identified as Kanayo Awurum, is currently cooling his heels in the police net for selling his two-year-old son for N650,000 to a woman in desperate need of a male child. Awurum, the buyer, Cecilia Nwatu and two others are being held by the Lagos State Special Anti-Robbery Squad (SARS) over the sale of Chukwunonyelum. Nwatu said she changed the boy’s name to Tochukwu after buying him. The others are Nkechi Obi, 45, and Gladys Nwobodo, 38.
