Oh ok. I read it as pharmacy. I'm not sure about pharmacology, I don't know anyone in that program.
Yeah..it's quite common....Everyone thinks Pharmacy (which is more popular) when they see Pharmacology. Maybe it's cos they both have Pharm.

Hello,

Please a question for those that have traveled to Canada and collected their study permit at the point of entry before, where you ask to present any additional documents aside your POE letter of introduction, passport, letter of acceptance by the Canada Border officer before giving your study permits?

I read somewhere that we will still be ask to present other documents like proof of funds e.t.c...are we to show the statement of account we used to get TRV? please those people that goes through the process before should kindly help me share their experience...thank you

Depends on the officer that attends to you. As for me, all I showed the lady that attended to me the electronic copy of letter of admission from my school and my hotel accomodation approval (school arranged that one too) in addition to my passport of course. Was also asked a couple of questions. Really personal questions like where my Father works, if I have paid my fees etc.
The other guy that I travelled with was just asked what program he was coming to Canada for and his immigration officer was giving him advice about surviving in Canada and joking with him while processing his study permit. He also told him not to mess around with girls smiley

My sponsor is my Aunt in the US,who has a joint account with her husband. Due to confidential reasons only 3months bank statement was approved. There's more than enough money for the funding but its just 3months.
She also sent letters of introduction form her office and bank stating her annual income and capability to sponsor me respectively. She also added her Tax summary. The bank in their letter also offered to clarify any doubts .a complementry card was attached.
Considering the requirements is 4months....would it be okay to still apply with the 3months bank statement?

All you have to do is explain this in ur letter to the Vo outlining why you can only provide a 3months statement due to confidentiality reasons. The tax doc she gave you, I guess notice of assessment. That would also suffice.
Her financial docs are good enough, if she has pay stubs that would help as well.

Thanks. Am thinking of explaining why its just three months. The letter from the bank stated that they could be reached and attached a complementary card. So I guess I'll do just that.

It's regrettable that Canadian V.Os have no laid out standards. One can speculate that u r application success depends on the mood on of the one handling ur application.
It's too bad.

@ hayquinbfx you do know that you need to have a good reason for changing institutions right? Some schools have very poor international student information Centre who are supposed to differentiate PGD from UG programs.
I changed my institution to centennial too but that was because my program at Conestoga had only January and May intake.
So I explained that in my SOP, I also explained why it was more expensive than the conestoga program because of the addition of one more semester which makes it even a better option and I paid the entire 2yrs tuition.

The construction management at centennial college is a one year program and sharp contrast from your initially proposed 3yrs program. I am not sure if you have noticed that too.

would add employment letter this time around along with the leave.
then go for the graduate certificate.

Good. Like someone already advised you, pick some successful applicants and structure your app like theirs. Right now you will get so (and too) many advice and like they say "too much of anything is bad. Just pick maybe two or three successful applicants and observe every single detail of their application. Study them keenly before you re-apply. I see no wahala about your program or course. In all, make the V.O know you work under your father and your travelling to Canada is not about anything else but strictly to prepare you for taking over proceedings from your father. If I remember correctly your intended course of study gels with what your pops coy is into.
Re: Travelling To Canada Part 8 by hayqinsbFX: 7:11am On Jun 16, 2015
Yeah..thanks..
I will remove my SOA this time around.
Include payslips and a letter of introduction from the company(I believe that should suffice)

I'm swaying towards the decision to use a new LOA from the advanced diploma program stating I'm admitted for fasttrack and my program would be for 2years.

What do u think about that...

Explaining a change in program and school so soon myt b hard to swallow
These guys didn't just feel confident to give a 3years visa IMO

Thanks for your observations would act accordingly.
It's so good I have bn processing the new admission letter even before I got the news so I believe I should have It this week so I can apply next week.
Would work on my SOP too..
Thanks a bunch.

Morning guys; plss I would like to know if Online applicants do track their applications too. Just tot of tracking mine today after 4weeks of submission but can't find the link in my CIC acct.
Re: Travelling To Canada Part 8 by kfrosh: 7:45am On Jun 16, 2015
Hello sire; I would suggest that aspect should be explained by your Sponsor in her sponsorship letter rather than you explaining it in your SOP/LOE.

I have just barely 6months after school...and really my soa lonnng gan..like 7pages for just 3months wey I even print then...now it will be longer...

I intend to work out a payslip instead of that...just stating the amount I earn each month...
That wud suffice more than the complex soa containing transactions they have no business knowing...
It isn't a salary account.

Its all confusing for me but ill just do the explanation ican do....

Good morning all, I will be applying for study permit this week, please I would like to know if its compulsory to certify all the photocopies of my documents? Also, I do buy and sell tokunbo cars from Europe, but not with any registered company, I used my name as the shipper of the cars, my question is should I include those documents? will i be expected to provide CAC doduments to that effect-which i dont have? I am not using registered company in the shipment. Though I am including my job offer letter to the application, I just want to prove that I have other source of income asides my salary which is really not too much. please advise from the gurus will be highly appreciated.

You can track via VFS through their website or constantly check ur CIC..But what's the point really? If there is an update on ur CIC, you will be notified by email..So why not just check your email everyday to save ur save some tension.....

Bro, I feel it's cool you resubmit your SOA. Your payslip could even be more complex because it takes nothing to fabricate. It's already stated that you work so why pulling that out? Never give room for chances. Your case is direct.
Re: Travelling To Canada Part 8 by hayqinsbFX: 12:10pm On Jun 16, 2015
yeah but my SOA is too bulky i dont know if the VO would actually have the time to go through each line of it.
i recieved a checklist alongside my app which kinda gave me a clue i didnt have my payslips in my application
