Hi everyone...Please someone who applied through paper means should assist... There's this form (IMM5832E) that has two questionnaires. How did you fill it. I can't seem to be able to fill it on the system....like it can't be typed on like the other forms. "Study Permit, Lagos visa office instructions" is clearly written on the first page of the 19 page form....Please any quick response will be highly appreciated. Thanks |

For me i consider it to be too late except your application is as prolofic as TEAM12's application. |
Re: Travelling To Canada Part 8 by Team12: 9:10am On Jun 25, 2015 |
Who is your sponsor? And when is school resumption. Applying in July in kinda late, but you never know. The good thing is that financial reasons is the easiest to tackle. 1.How much was in your sponsor's SOA? 2. How much is your estimated expenses for a year? 3. Are you going for UG or PG? 4. What is the length of ur program? 5.How much did you state in your app as funds available for your stay? Please answer these questions to enable us advise u accordingly. In the mean time, if your sponsor is into business, I believe a lot more transactions has taken place since your last app, so his acct balance might be more than it was. However, if it is not significantly higher than before, putting a significant amount into the account for 3 days or 1 week and printing out for a new app will not be seen as lodgement but will look more like usual transaction. Did u add any property docs to ur last app? Docs like share certificate, fixed deposit, pension statement, landed properties can go along way. ***Modified*** judnele: 2 Likes |

I have been encouraged by the good news so far, I think it's high time I reapplied - I applied for the first time and had my biometrics in May, got denied based on "Availability of funds for studies and upkeep". I presented: 1. CIC application form + Family information form 2. Bank statement with 4.2million naira 3. Letter of explanation 4. Letter of sponsorship 5. International passport copy with previous visas 6. Letter of admission Really painful because I have never been refused a visa before (Got a US study visa last year on the first try but unfortunately didn't travel because of issues with my school and I also visited Switzerland with my dad earlier this year). Anyway, I am reapplying and here are the docs I will be presenting based on the reason for my earlier refusal: 1. CIC application forms + Family information form 2. Bank statement from my father's personal account with 6.5million naira 3. Bank statement from my aunt (co-sponsor) with 4.7million naira 4. CAC documents of my fathers company, where my name is listed as a major share holder. 5. 3 letters of previous government projects handled by my father's company (each worth about 10.2million naira) 6. Ownership documents for 2cars 7. Proof of part payment of my tuition fees via Int'l wire transfer - 7,000 cad 8. Letter from UPEI detailing their fees and costs 9. Upfront medicals (Haven't gone for it yet, first thing next week) Please, did I go overboard, because I am a little concerned about the file size...although I haven't checked it yet. @Graviton2 Great! Please ensure that the amount you state as available for your stay is higher than your total expenses. Is it UG or PG? Do your parents have other dependent kids? Btw lol! Team12 definitely does not mean 12 children o ....lmao |

Re: Travelling To Canada Part 8 by Graviton2(m): 9:56am On Jun 25, 2015 |
Team12: I don't really understand the bolded - Do you mean if the total expenses for my study is around 21,000cad, I should have higher than that for my upkeep? That's about 40,000cad...Please clarify. Undergrad. I'm 20 and I have a younger brother who is 11, how's that? Your moniker made me think of Basketball..Dream team 12...lol |

Re: Travelling To Canada Part 8 by chrisviral(m): 10:01am On Jun 25, 2015 |
Graviton2, I think you are good to go. More so, in the application Form, where your asked for school fees, housing fees and other expenses, then you are further asked how much is available for study... It's always a good point to add up everything and add extra amount untop of it. E.g My school fees was 33,000 CAD Hostel is 14, 000 CAD, I left others blank and fund available, I wrote 280,000CAD ((hanks to the scholarship) no VO can refuse that based on insufficient fund. Note: you can only submit your application after you get your e-medical receipt, since it's upfront. Goodluck. 6 Likes |

Graviton2:ensure both notarised sponsor letters especially your aunt state clearly how much she will make available for your stay. In other words how much is she giving you from her N4.7M |
Re: Travelling To Canada Part 8 by Graviton2(m): 10:22am On Jun 25, 2015 |
chrisviral: Thanks. To be clear. My total study expenses (Tuition + room and board) - 13,000cad/2.something million naira The total amount in both accounts is about 10million naira. Will that suffice? |
Re: Travelling To Canada Part 8 by Graviton2(m): 10:27am On Jun 25, 2015 |
teesboy: Thanks. She is giving me about 2million naira. |
Re: Travelling To Canada Part 8 by chrisviral(m): 10:34am On Jun 25, 2015 |
Graviton2: Money in account does not equal Fund avialable, you were particularly asked, "Fund available for study" out of that Ten million, how much will they part-with for you. You had to state the Fund your Dad and the Aunty will be spending, the SOA is just for verification. |
