Welcome O Ramadhan! - A Poem And A Breif Commentary By Laykorn by Nobody: 10:20pm On Jun 17, 2015
The crescent cracks the black that sheds the sky
And pierces through the misty wool of murky light.

Then, these clouds do a doleful dance of evil eyes
And cloak the lustrous eyes of the crescent's sight.

But none of woe is birth by the cloud's vile fight
As the hasty lunar spark was enough for euphoria.

Euphoria that the oldest men, to hide wouldn't dare.
And the youngest of men, lost in mirth and cheers.
Again, the month of blessings that overflow is here.
Again, the days of grace in sundry torrents are here.

I welcome this guest with utmost delight;
For I know it has come to give us respite.
An air of happiness fills the space;
Our homes now seem a better place!

Commentary:

It's here again; the month of over-flowing blessings and infinite grace is here again. I pray that Allah bestows his mercy upon us in this month and all the months to come after it, and that he grants us all that is needed to make the best of it. I pray for universal amity, I pray for lasting peace; I pray, I pray...

RAMADAN

Watching on high hill as they
sent
As skirts and trousers longing for
new crescent
Depiction of welcome for the
latter
As ranked first in the calendar

Here comes the stain remover
That cleanse soul like pencil and
eraser
Welcome O you, the powered
Once again devils will be fettered

Month which qur'an was
revealed to universe
Teaching morals, etiquettes and
supplication in verse
It possessed freebies and
goodies to hawk
Ready to change that ill-luck to
good-luck

Don't hesitate to flow your deeds
So be generous to poor and
needies
For a single deed grows into
double folds
So as to reap greatest crops

Unleash these priceless with
farmish and thirsty
For holy days of twenty-nine or
thirty
Exclude not your soul, eyes or
ears from the exercise
For reward's guage comes about
in big size RAMADAN
