Commenting on Nairaland, space is of essence grin but nevertheless here too no bad as land grabbers don grab all the first page finish.

Anyway back to the topic, that's a very good recommendation and i think it shows a kind of clear idea for baba Buhari on appointing ministers,
let him appoint 19 technocrats to head the ministries and appoint politicians as deputies i.e minister of states since they won't let him be, that way na win-win e go be for am.

I disagree with combining works, housing and Environment.

Environment is too important to be merged with works and housing, particularly with the dangers Nigeria face with climate change.

The structure is still fuzzy to me. 36 ministers, 9 standby ministries, and roughly 5 new ministries will bring the ministries to say 14. Will some ministers have more than one portfolio, or some without substantive minister be annexed by the presidency to be headed by minister of state?

It's assumed now that science and technology will be under education, cool.

Oh well... Energy (Petroleum resources, mines and power) got just 1 minster while gender, family affairs, youth and sports got 3 ministers.... shows where our priority lies!

BTW. reducing the number of ministries doesn't reduce the number of ministers. OBJ reduced the number from 27 to 19 ministries. cost cutting is when they start doing away with allowances like hardship allowance.
