Gunmen suspected to be assassins yesterday shot dead , a chieftain of the All Progressive Congress, APC Mr. Shalewa Daramola, in Amuwo Odofin Local Government area of Lagos.
Daramola who is the Assistant Treasurer at the APC Amuwo Odofin chapter, was at 3rd avenue ‘K’ close, Festac Town, where members of his party were sharing Sallah gift when the incident occurred.
He was said to have stepped out to check his car when one of the gunmen said to be in his 20s, emerged from an adjourning close and accosted Daramola, demanding for money.
Apparently thinking the stranger was a beggar, Daramola reportedly told him he had no money. The gunman was said to have fired Daramola four times, at close range before he jumped into a waiting motorbike .
Daramola was said to have been rushed to the Local government Primary Health Centre, from where he was referred to another hospital in Festac Town. But on the way to the hospital, he reportedly breathed his last.

they use okada boys to win election, now the okada boys are all over Amuwo LGA like the state government owe them a favor. 2nd rainbow taken, apple junction taken, fagbems taken stretch out to mile 2. mile2 estate(jakende) is a slump. bad road , flooding.

Some People can be so myopic with their comments these days. The report says ''gunmen'', but they are saying otherwise ''Apc this'', ''Apc killing themselves'' ''PDP that'' etc...




Very pathetic we see lots of these almost everyday.

Why complain about who voted who when it was obvious that pdp won every polling both.

Also amuwo odofin is not festac but stretched up to volks n before ijesha..

And if we want to look at festac, it is owned by fg, it shouldn't be a thing of worry to the state, but still the past lg chairman did his best and also the current caretaker is trying her best.. The heap at 32 junction/3rd avenue is no more there... Have you been to access bank lately at 4th avenu, it has been taken care of.

Festac is not the only area under amuwo jurisdiction...
