Right in life's darkness
guiltily sinning,
His Holy hand he stretches,
into the sulphuric abyss
even his hand can't raise to Him,
totally incapacitated by sin
in His mercy, He made him clean,
Alleluia, he's singing.

All along the journey,
he started sleeping
dozing, weary, he slept off,
till his salvation was stolen
he woke up, in tears and agony
with the rapture trumpet coming,
Unaware, he's still dazing
grace and mercy, wasted in vain,
The agony of the foolish virgin.

thanks @nairalife.
you got it a little bit wrong, is a poem depicting the life of a person in sin, after which he was saved by Christ, then he started sleeping (backslidden), and the trumpet sound leaving him left behind.
the biblical virgin were all born again, hope you know that.

no mind me o! I got it at first reading. I just wanted to crack a leedle joke abt bleeping...sorry tho. I love the poem - the wisdom between its lines and the alternate rhythm that caps its endings. Good work.
