Not very familiar with nigerian dignitaries, what difference does it make when they die. The people who mourn the dead are the relatives of the dead. What was stella obasanjo who I had never heard of before doing having an operation in a non english speaking country. I work as a doctor in the uk and I know a lot of top doctors in the uk and usa of nigerian origin. What is the full fact about this. |

Re: Bellview Airplane Crashes After Taking Off From Lagos by drbigdaddyg(m): 6:08pm On Oct 25, 2005 |
ok. I wonder why we could not declare atleast one day public holiday for her. Is still surprising to me. |
Re: Bellview Airplane Crashes After Taking Off From Lagos by Balogun(m): 7:03pm On Oct 25, 2005 |
what does she need tummy tuck for. I thought she had some live threatening disease. I suppose that doesn't matter now |
Re: Bellview Airplane Crashes After Taking Off From Lagos by Greatpeter(m): 8:06pm On Oct 25, 2005 |
Let us not be quick in judging people. She could have made a mistake or the other but then let's sympathise with the bereaved. She had a reason for undergoing the surgery. |
Re: Bellview Airplane Crashes After Taking Off From Lagos by Scorpio(f): 10:34pm On Oct 25, 2005 |
for undergoin a tummy tuck? she's 60, y would she want to have anything taken out or put in, i don't see any reason for that type of surgery. if it was something related to the eyes or the ears or somewhere reasonable, i would understand. |
Re: Bellview Airplane Crashes After Taking Off From Lagos by drbigdaddyg(m): 8:44am On Oct 26, 2005 |
Everybody wants to be young even at old age, so I wouldn't blame her for going for that surgery. She is the wife of the President and doesn't deserve to be old, therefore what she wanted doing was not bad |

This is the topic below and not stella's death thread, it's all your pleasure she died. Bellview Airplane Crashes After Taking Off From Lagos |
Re: Bellview Airplane Crashes After Taking Off From Lagos by drbigdaddyg(m): 9:06am On Oct 26, 2005 |
No G.p, we are only showing concern at her death. You cannot expect us to easily forget her, we have to share the pains so that it can be light on us I am back to the topic. |
Re: Bellview Airplane Crashes After Taking Off From Lagos by Greatpeter(m): 9:14am On Oct 26, 2005 |
Ok if you said so. No qualms. |

Thank you so much for the "reconcilliation" |
Re: Bellview Airplane Crashes After Taking Off From Lagos by Greatpeter(m): 9:27am On Oct 26, 2005 |
Hey, we aren't fighting we just argue to iron things out. At times we agree to disagree or disagree to agree. Drbig, you're my brother so no qualms. |
Re: Bellview Airplane Crashes After Taking Off From Lagos by drbigdaddyg(m): 9:32am On Oct 26, 2005 |
Aiight. May their soul rest in peace. I believe God has destined them that way. Who are we to question him? |
Re: Bellview Airplane Crashes After Taking Off From Lagos by Greatpeter(m): 9:34am On Oct 26, 2005 |
God does not give bad destiny. He has a good thought concerning us, a thought of peace and not of evil. This is the work of dare devil. |
Re: Bellview Airplane Crashes After Taking Off From Lagos by drbigdaddyg(m): 9:40am On Oct 26, 2005 |
Well, devil cannot destroy God's work unless God wants it that way. He created us in his own image. He wouldn't want his sculpture that he took time to mould to just get damaged by someone who never took part in the creation. |

Hnmmnmmmm Well...hnm.... I;ll get back to you. God may allow certain things to happen at times. But that doesn't mean He's not God. |
Re: Bellview Airplane Crashes After Taking Off From Lagos by gentleone(f): 9:45am On Oct 26, 2005 |
umm... back to the bellview crash,u guys are not gonna believe this!!! ..... a group in the niger delta claims to be responsible!!! according to thisday newspaper..............., "Meanwhile, a group which calls itself the Coalition for Militant Action in the Niger Delta (COMA) yesterday claimed responsibility for the clash of the Bellview aircraft. The group promised to attack government properties until Niger Delta militant Mujahid Asari Dokubo, on treason trial in an Abuja court is released. In an unsigned statement, the group stated that "the crash in Oyo (the plane crashed in Lisa village, Ogun State) was not the expected outcome and was due to a failure of an installed deprogrammer aboard the aircraft." However, the Inspector General of Police, Mr. Sunday Ehindero told THISDAY in a telephone interview that "I have no knowledge of that or the group. I doubt if there is any truth in that. But we will find out." visit http://www.thisdayonline.com/nview.php?id=31809 for more info...... |
Re: Bellview Airplane Crashes After Taking Off From Lagos by drbigdaddyg(m): 9:52am On Oct 26, 2005 |
I have told you guys that they better release this man. Terrost are not only found in Afghanistan and Iraq; these people can do more damages if time is not taken. Besides, Nigeria is no where in technology so I can't see any way we can raise little defence if they start firing. They have just started !!! |
Re: Bellview Airplane Crashes After Taking Off From Lagos by gentleone(f): 9:57am On Oct 26, 2005 |
@drbig, i don't agree with u, i think they are just claiming responsibilty for claiming sake and i dont see why dokubo should be released, the law should take its course |
Re: Bellview Airplane Crashes After Taking Off From Lagos by Seun(m): 10:00am On Oct 26, 2005 |
When you negotiate with terrorists, they usually get stronger. |
Re: Bellview Airplane Crashes After Taking Off From Lagos by Greatpeter(m): 10:00am On Oct 26, 2005 |
Their claim is untrue and baseless. They want to use this to scare us. How were they responsible? Look, this is the area I respect Tony and blair when their country men and women were captured by a terrorist group in Iraq. Those people wanted Saddam hussien released and US military withdrawn. Blair came out and said "we will not dialogue with terrorists"neither will we give up it's a battle to the finish. This group can't hold all of us into ramsome. They are not greater than this nation. they should be dealt with in accordance with the law. |
Re: Bellview Airplane Crashes After Taking Off From Lagos by layi(m): 10:16am On Oct 26, 2005 |
Methinks they just want to scare us. Firstly are they claiming responsibilty for Stella's death too since it happened same time. But come to think of it. There were lots of dignitaries aboard that plane...and thats a catch for terrorists group. is this another al-qaeda under our nose? Who's their osama? |
Re: Bellview Airplane Crashes After Taking Off From Lagos by drbigdaddyg(m): 12:29pm On Oct 26, 2005 |
Their Osama might be Dokubo though I feel he is operating from the prison cage. Anyways. you guys are right. If we give them any sign of acquiescence, we have opened door for more troubles. But, I just beg they carry out more investigation. |
Re: Bellview Airplane Crashes After Taking Off From Lagos by Greatpeter(m): 12:33pm On Oct 26, 2005 |
This people can't scare us they were not in anyway responsible for stella's death and the plane crash. It's just a mere noise. |
Re: Bellview Airplane Crashes After Taking Off From Lagos by drbigdaddyg(m): 12:39pm On Oct 26, 2005 |
Yeah. You are right. But, what must have been behind the crash because it is very rare these days observing plane crash in Nigeria? |
Re: Bellview Airplane Crashes After Taking Off From Lagos by Greatpeter(m): 12:42pm On Oct 26, 2005 |
Negligence on the part of the operators and govt. policy caused it all. though we have not known and may never be briefed about the cause of the crash. Because already the aviation minister prof. Aborishade has said the outcome of the findings will not be made known publicly. Nonsence! |
Re: Bellview Airplane Crashes After Taking Off From Lagos by drbigdaddyg(m): 12:59pm On Oct 26, 2005 |
Who knows his reasons; maybe the world will not laugh at our carefree and poor technology. |
Re: Bellview Airplane Crashes After Taking Off From Lagos by Greatpeter(m): 1:01pm On Oct 26, 2005 |
I think they want to cover up some things. |
Re: Bellview Airplane Crashes After Taking Off From Lagos by vizion: 1:14pm On Oct 26, 2005 |
anything can cause a plane to crash i've watched a documentary where a mere cellotape on a critical sensor cause a plane to go down |
Re: Bellview Airplane Crashes After Taking Off From Lagos by Greatpeter(m): 1:20pm On Oct 26, 2005 |
Vizion, welcome I believe not your view that anything. Yes! a mere cellotape, as you said. Definitely not anything. i will give an example: A passanger shouting inside a plane can't cause a crash. And that's part of anything. well, if you say anything considered hazardous and mechanical can cause a crash I will agree. But to say anything without specification will be wrong. "Anything" is broad and ambiguos. |
