Chaos broke out Tuesday, when the Forum for Power Shift of Kogi Central and West visited a former governor, and aspirant under the All Progressives Congress, APC, Prince Abubakar Audu at his residence in the Aso Villa.

What first appeared to POST NIGERIA’s reporter as a call to endorse, quickly escalated to a call to step down.

Audu who felt slighted by the call for him to step down from the contest boasted that he cannot be defeated by any candidate, daring the forum to produce its candidate for the November polls.

It all went south, when Audu stressed that he and he alone remains the “saviour” for Kogi State.

The forum which comprises of the Okun and Ebira people of the State is bent on producing the next governor, after years of what it described as marginalisation by the Igala-led government in the State.

Kogi State has been ruled by the Igala tribe since its inception and the forum blamed the Igala-led government for injustice and suffering it meted out to other tribes, stressing that it was responsible for the underdevelopment of the state.

Audu, Igala by tribe, lavished praise on his past achievements in the state, urging the forum to support his ambition, promising that he will hand over power to the region if he is voted into power, but the forum unanimously refused and insisted he stepped down.

In response to Audi’s claim to be the messiah of the State Dr. Tom Adaba, who is the media person for the forum refuted the claim, insisting that the West and Central also have young people who are capable of doing the job.

His words “He seems to think he is the only one who can rescue and resurrect Kogi State but our contention is he is just playing god. He is not.

“There are many, those who can do more than he thinks he can.
“This impression he has given himself is that he is the only one who can bring the state back to life but we are saying that couldn’t be.

“There are others who may not have been tested but have the impression of making excellent government.

Dr. Adaba noted that the West and the Central came together because of population and vowed to make use of its “protest votes” to achieve what it wants to achieve. “It (the forum) has no regard for parties and politics” Read more here: http://www.post-nigeria.com/kogi-poll-self-proclaimed-messiah-audu-asked-to-step-down/

Prince Audu is a selfish man.

Unless Okun and Ebira people come together to form coalition if not, they should forget about entry into Lugard House.

The Igalas are using population in term of voting pattern.
All and all, The PDP lead govt will surely be booted out.
