For The Third Time In Less than 3months, Senate Goes On Another Long Recess by Nobody: 4:06pm On Aug 13, 2015
The Nigerian senate on Thursday adjourned sitting to
September 29.

This is the third time it will be embarking on a recess, but
this appears to be the longest.

On June 10, a day after its inauguration, it adjourned for a
week, and on June 25 it adjourned until July 28; before
adjourning to September 29 on Thursday.
Ali Ndume, senate majority leader, moved the motion for
adjournment while Godswill Akpabio, senate minority leader,
seconded it.

Before it adjourned, the senate took the last motion
regarding the “worrisome and unstable position of the
Nigeria aviation industry,” moved by Bala Ibn Na’Allah
(Kebbi south).

It observed “with serious concern the near crisis in the
aviation sector with domestic airlines requesting bail-outs.”
To address the problem, it set up an ad-hoc committee to
probe the sector, and to look into the “desirability or
otherwise of granting bail-out to existing airlines and make
recommendations”.

Some members of the committee are Stella Oduah
(Anambra), a former aviation minister, and Kabiru Marafa
(Zamfara).
While the recess lasts, the committees would be carrying
out their functions.

For serious reasons, I don't seem to see anything good in Saraki as Senate President. The guy lacks pomp, wisdom, experience, decorum and aura associated with the Revered David Mark.

He just wanted to gain power at all cost.
Now all we get is recess every now and den cos he's bereft of positive ideas on how to run the Senate.
He should enrol in the David Mark School of Senate Presidency, Maitama.

no complain, we must enjoy the corrupted change because we refused to see it earlier enough.

Expected.

Saraki needs time to see to the forgery case that might nullified his election as Senate President. Even his deputy is not left out.

David Mark needs all focus on earth to defend his (stolen) mandate personally in court as more money is not able to buy the judiciary now.

Most PDP Senators (Akpabio and his installed Governor, etc. ) and few APC are having sleepless nights on their cases pending in Tribunal.

Why will they not need recess to fight for sustainance of what they believe was their birthday right in political term while abandoning the task of the public post they are occupying.
