point of correction op. this bridge was destroyed by a General from that village, he ordered for its destruction in order to prevent boko haram from escalating to other neighboring villages when they took over his village, he brought thousands of soldiers and some fighter jets who almost finished the boko bois in that region, he did a good job there, I remember it was in that operation that obj's son was shot. the general was almost dismissed because of this and was later demoted because according DHQ, he acted without orders. He was passionate about destroying boko haram in that region but the corrupt top military officers frustrated him and almost dismissed him
