Pinkcandy97: It wont count against u if u use your mum. Just get a well funded soa from ur mum. Minimum of 6million naira but it depends on ur tuition fee. 2 Likes |

metrecube:Find your way to obalende, board a keke under the bridge going to ikoyi and tell the driver you'll alight at alagbon. Easy, straight forward and fast. Any police station u go will get it at alagbon, that means u'll pay more and probably wait more. At alagbon u should get it under 30mins. 1 Like |

Hi guys.. I'm finally ready to make my application tomorrow. After considering all the wahala with pdf file compression for online I've decided to go the paper route and I have some questions as I'm going there tomorrow. 1) are black and white photocopies acceptable? My printer has run out of color ink so I had to do black and white photocopies of all my docs. My previous app it was all colored 2) to prove my dad identity I used his international passport which is expired, should I take this out and use his voters card instead? 3) none of my documents are notarized. . Or certified. my dad as my cosponsor o just typed and printed a declaration and he signed it. . Is this a terrible move? 4) I used a font siZe of 10 on my sop Because 11 made it enter 3 pages. It's still very legible but I just want to know if this is not advisable. 5) what are the exact IMM forms that in required to fill. I heard they Added some new ones Please can I get the address of the vfs or embassy where I'm to submit my application? Thank you guys for all the help as always |

Inkblood: 1. Black and white is perfect, as long as it is clear. 2. Not sure you need that passport, except for visa pages on his passport. If not, birth certificate is better. You may as well include (recent and old) photographs (I think u'll submit just photocopy of this too). 3. No it's not a terrible move. You're fine with just the letter. Parent sponsorship carries a lot of weight, so u dont have to notarize the doc. 4. Since you're sure it is very legible, then it's fine. But you may consider using size 12/13. There's no restriction/limit to the number of pages for SoP/LoE. 5. The forms are TRV application, Study Permit Application, Family information and Study permit questionnaire. The first three are to be filled on PC, Validated and printed, while the last one is to be filled with INK (it's on the last 2 pages of the study permit guide). Vfs VAC is at Manor Building, third-roundabout, Lekki Phase 1. Start counting the roundabouts from lekki toll gate, alight at the 3rd roundabout, cross the road to the other side and walk into the estate, and u should see the building (Manor house) on your left. I wish you Good luck. 11 Likes |

sholay2011: Hello fellow Winnipeggers, I'm sorry I haven't been able to update you on my travel experience. Flight was long and tiring. Didn't get any of our 6 boxes (air France wahala). POE was however smooth and easy. Still trying to settle in. We should definitely hook up. 1 Like |

Make I give my medical experience. Please do not quote. Quite long! Walked into IOM ikeja, after being scheduled for 7.30. Came in around 8.30am. I was probably the first to arrive for Canada medicals for the day. Approached the lady at the desk, and she complained of how we don't keep to time that I was the first for 7.30. I apologized and she collected my passport and gave me a form to fill, and later started to instruct me on the procedures and all I needed to know. After that, I was sent to the data capturing area where my finger prints and information sheet was generated, and they took a picture if me from their camera. I was abit dressed down and looking like I just got out from bed, wasn't ready to take any pic, anyway I appeared great. Then I was given the information sheet to be used in my application and proceeded to the nurse room. I appproached the nurse, she looked quite young.Generally the nurses I saw around were nicely dressed and talked with a smile. I was given a tube to get my urine sample. I had to take water cos I wasn't able to urinate. One of the nurses, took her time to offer me water. After 5mins, I took my sample. I had taken tea in the morning with a lot of milk and sugar. When she tested my sample, she said it contained sugar that she would have to do further tests to show I didn't have diabetes. I was like I took tea this morning..lol.Never have diabetes and its never in my bloodline generations. Anyway I wasn't scared.Am saying this so that we should mind what we take when going for assessment. After that she took my blood sample. She's quite skilled and did it with ease. I had to tell her that right away. Was told if results for HIV and syphillis is done, the results will determine whether I will be called back. Later moved downstairs for the xray. Was half naked from top.fixed my chest against the machine, breathed in and out and the recorders took down results.Meanwhile a girl was stirring at my rib cage on the computer.Pretty awkward ![]() Lastly, I was to see the doctor for physical examination.Doctor was a pretty female too..I was like hmmm..We had talked earlier on downstairs, I didn't even know she was the doctor. She was down to earth and was engaging other staff on a discussion. She asked me if I was for UK or canada, then I said Canada and she grinned..I asked why and she said, Canada requires a more thorough approach with examinations. She asked me to lock the door, take off my clothes and lie down. She is a doctor doing her job, I had to convince my wandering and mischievous mind..lol. She touched her stethoscope on my body, checked my eyes, tongue, body etc. And that was it. I used the opportunity to request for my results and she asked me to rapport with the nurse that its usually a task to sieve through various results to send me a copy of mine.Met the nurse, and was asked to call back in the coming days.My results was just sent into my email and was told my results have been forwarded to CIC. The End! 8 Likes |
