Hello House, Please i will like to ask this concern question. I have heard and read Canada and US share immigration data information of immigrant applicants. How do they check this? Does it mean when you details or biometric information is enter into their system, your details in US data pops up or until they do a cross check of your details in US database. I am asking because i made a mistake in my details in visa application i did to US embassy, i will like to correct it in Canada visa application, but i have scared of any contradictions of information. Pls house i will appreciate good and experience response to this Thanks |

Hi all, Please I intend to travel to Ottawa, Canada for the Xmas & New year. I discovered that Turkish Airline from Lagos to Toronto is the cheapest fare. I want to know if I can fly Turkish Airline to Toronto and book a local flight ( Air Canada) from Toronto to Ottawa . This would save more than N50,000 I want to know if I would have any problem at the Point of Entry since in my Visa application I stated I was going to see my brother in Ottawa |

Hello House, A quick 1 here, when can 1 travel for a january start date, is November not to early to travel, and hp there won't be an issue if u first land at another province other than the province ur institution is. I mean if u don't go to ur school directly cos I m planning on seeing fam b4 ending out to school. |

Khalesi: Pls I will like to know the exact figure for the annual tuition fee because it wasn't stated explicitly on my offer letter and on the school site Or is It that you have to add the tuition for winter($8000)+ Summer ($7500) to get the annual tuition Or better still what figure did u input for your annual tuition fee while feeling the cic form. |
Re: Travelling To Canada Part 9 by ayooluwatoni(m): 10:58pm On Oct 18, 2015 |
fatanu: Of course US and Canadian embassies share information about visa applicants, except information about Citizens and Permanent Residents of US and Canada. My advice, be straight-forward. If you've been denied visa by US, declare to Canada or vice versa. Cheers |
Re: Travelling To Canada Part 9 by ayooluwatoni(m): 11:03pm On Oct 18, 2015 |
lamama1:I don't think November is too early. As regards your second question, there may/may not be issue, depending on the Border Control Officer and his/her mood at that time. But I'll advise you go with a confirmed booking (ticket) of your flight from that province to the province of your institution, just to be on a safe side. With that, there won't be issue at all. Once the officer raises issue, u'll just present the confirmed booking to proof that you're truly going to resume at your school after a short stay in the province you are at that time. 1 Like |

kkokoma: You shouldn't have any problem, just keep your ticket to Ottawa close, the Border Protection officer may ask for it. Have you tried going from Abuja? Of late, flights to Canada from Abuja have been ridiculously cheap, compared to Lagos. Check for these days in particular, Sundays, Wednesdays and Fridays. Cheers 1 Like 1 Share |

Re: Travelling To Canada Part 9 by freeR1: 11:13pm On Oct 18, 2015 |
ayooluwatoni: Nope, I disagree. US and CA consulate are different entities and they will not share information. Now, they both have a universal terror/ watch list which I hope you are not on. If in future they are suspicious of something and they want to investigate, either country will have to use a warrant to get the needed info. People should please be careful about the info they pass on this medium. Information privacy is a very important part of western world. |

yes i was denied....more to it i lie in some personal information which i will like to correct and say the truth in this canada application. pls what should i do thanks ayooluwatoni: |
Re: Travelling To Canada Part 9 by freeR1: 11:15pm On Oct 18, 2015 |
fatanu: Go ahead and fill the correct info for your CA visa. Both countries have independent bio-metric systems. As long as you are not on a terror or watch list, nothing is going to ring. No be u dem dey find. 1 Like |

freeR1: It's funny how people argue blindly. Well, I'm not a lawyer, so no need to argue with you. Whether you agree or disagree, e no concern me! But before you come here and start arguing as if you're a younger brother to a VO, make some efforts to research first. http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/department/laws-policy/agreements/can-usa-agreement.asp 1 Like |

fatanu: Hmmm....it's kinda complicated o. The ideal thing is to come out straight, probably explain in a Letter of Explanation, but at the same time, it may backfire. So honestly speaking, I don't know what to say. Maybe the GURUS in the house can better advise you. @thesoj, what do you think? |
Re: Travelling To Canada Part 9 by iresmart: 11:39pm On Oct 18, 2015 |

Re: Travelling To Canada Part 9 by ayooluwatoni(m): 11:53pm On Oct 18, 2015 |
fatanu: Hmmm....u want to deny your husband because of Canada? That's not good (if you truly married). But if u were never married, the you may claim to be divorced. And except you just graduated or just finished nysc (which means you don't have study gap) you may still need to submit your SOA o. So what's your profile? When did you finish UG? What have you been doing? Are/were you married for real? 2 Likes |
