i think u need to go to ur phone settings and activate ur language back to english, look for another 5800 in english version ,it will help u, even if u change ur product code to EURO1 ,u stil need to update ur firmware before it will work

i have reset the language to english with my own 5800 but it seems the phone cannot be updated OTA because of the product code on it. it shows no update available and their is an update. how do i update the firmware may be it will change the product code to my region?

You need Nemesis Service Suite to change the product code.

@spacyzuma, maybe its because u changed ur mtn sim to glo sim and tried viewing dstv on it, try restoring mobile tv settings and repurchase rights with mtn sim and if u wish to test with glo sim,u need to restore mobile tv settings again and the repurchase rights. Goodluck

I've switched both my MTN and GLO sims between the phones more than 5 times since Friday evening. Each time, I restore mobile tv settings and restore the factory settings of both phones.

But both of them just refuse to subscribe. Keep getting different error messages. I think DSTV is having issues. I wanna mail that Cecilia lady today.

When did your own wahala start? Mine began on friday afternoon after i exchanged my glo and mtn sims. I watched dstv on mtn on my N8 smoothly on friday morning. Since then, I've not been able to subscribe again on both sims and phones.

Has anyone here ever used Globacom to enjoy DSTV. I've never been able to get my glo sim to subscribe. Do I have to change/rename the Access Point?

You have to know your phone's security code to unlock it.

Just go to SETTINGS,. then PARENTAL CONTROLS. You'll see different ages. Just select NONE. If asked, enter your phone's security code. The default code is 12345, unless you've changed it
