This applies to a Canadian citizen or PR sponsoring the spouse i.e Family Class Sponsorship. It does not apply to express entry. Aseade: |

dupyshoo: A separation status is also not by word of mouth. Filing for divorce does not equate separation. To file as separated, she also needs to file processes in court. That procedure is faster because you are saying we have issues that may or may not be resolved but for now I need to absolve my self of the legal liability as a spouse so court separate us. Judges are more inclined to grant such orders faster as there is still an opening for settlement. |

Oh good!! lol. Pardon me, I am an Engineer, so my knowledge is limited when it comes to legal issues. I believe, this might be the best way for her to go about it if she is sure she is "done" with the marriage. optionese: 1 Like |

dupyshoo: Engineer Dupyshoo - I'm also an Engineer. I'll need advise on chartership/certifications ...but this will be after I get my PR. Or do you think there is anything I can do now before then..? maybe registering with engineering councils / bodies...? Many thanks in advance |

This Wunmi Issue is an eye Opener, I hope she is able to resolve it quickly, I have been considering removing my spouse from the application to get more points and then file for her few years later |

With regard to registration as an Engineer, it depends on the province you decide to move to. Most of them however require course by course ECA from WES, so I always advise Engineers and Geologists to go for WES instead of IQAS cos of this. As you require at least 1 year work experience before you can become a Professional Engineer (PE) in Canada, the best you can get now without Canadian Experience is Engineer in Training (EIT). I have already got my EIT with APEGA (Alberta Engineering body), so I am able to give you any info you require if you are interested. Please note that registration as an Engineer is not compulsory. However, if you don't do it, you might be restricted in the kind of job offer you can take. Ehrnie: 5 Likes |

dupyshoo: Thanks so much for your prompt response. I've been researching provinces suitable for engineering and I have a mini list of Alberta, Ontario, BC and Saskatchewan. Thankfully my ECA was completed by WES - so that's one hurdle crossed. I'm very keen on registering as an Engineer (in Canada) and the EIT sounds like something I'll love to pursue right after my PR. Congratulations on your EIT and yes, I'm very much interested in ALL the information you can give to me. Ehm - I'm not sure how you want us to share information, but I'm happy to drop you a private message if that's okay. Many thanks |

Hello Peeps, Pls I have a sibling in Canada and I filled that out when creating my profile. However, my CRS score has not been updated with additional 15 points by IRCC to reflect that. Is there something I am not doing? |

IamIye: This is not so surprising although not the norm. They usually respond to serious reasons for CSE such as marriage update. If you check emiye's post, he faced same issue, he had to send another cse/email after 10days of no initial reply, b4 they replied him officially. For me, I was lucky and they replied in 6days after sending both cse/cpc-ottawa email. They sent email and message in cic account. The pdf message in account will give you instructions. Most likely, they will tell you to upload wife's medicals, passport and pr fee receipt into ur account within 30days. SHALLOM 2 Likes |

miella:Just to add to this,NOC 6235 is marketing, customer service, loan documentation both in retail/commercial banking. If I read clearly you are a teller/processor.Please review the NOC codes properly and choose one close to your role. You don't necessarily have to copy the duties. You should specify the duties you do daily which automatically should click with the NOC.Goodluck 1 Like |

Dear Family, I just want to drop a few points to encourage someone this hour especially people with IELTS scores that didn't come out as expected. So i started this journey since Aug 2015..i rushed to do IELTS Without much practice and i scored: LSRW: 7.5,6,8,7 and i hired David Cohen Law Firm paid 2000 USD but nowhere was i advised that my score is bad and i need to retake the IELTS. I figured that out on a thread like this that was closed. So Practically, i read the previous thread and have been reading this thread since it started from Page 0. Dont be in a hurry, every step is a major step: Practice, pray and Plan, and Read.... I Retook the exam in April 2016, when i figured out the CRS draw kept going higher: Behold: it was the hardest test i ever came across this was after so many practice sessions on Youtube, my hubby scaled thru because he listens to rap music... the listening was terrible..so i understand if the exam is tough..the result was: LSRW: 7.5,7.5,7.5,6.5.... it was a terrible try i must say coupled with the fact that i was heavily pregnant. I eventually lost the baby at delivery in May and i was devastated and numb for weeks... But Guess what i bought a book in church: JOYCE Meyer: NEVER GIVE UP...That book quickened the fire within me in this terrible times and i made up my mind to re-write IELTS exam, my hubby felt it was the wrongest time to write an exam because of the situation surrounding but my spirit man was lit and on fire..I paid for another IELTS AND Practiced, rehearsed, like my life depended on it..Prayed like my life was going to end..JESUS Did it: AUG 2016 Result: LSRW: 9,7,7.5,7...My score went up to 465.. but the subsequent draws were high.. I kept faith alive...till Jan 4 when i saw dat the draw came down and i didn't get an ITA after contacting DAVID COhen law firm they said my profile expired a day before and my contract had expired that the contract was for a year, remember i contacted them in July 2015 because a family friend relocated his whole family to Canada some years back and advised me they were the best and anytime i plan to take such a step i should contact them. I was furious sent a mail to the whole high ranking officials in the firm and how they were joking with my relocation plan.. apparently we were not on the same page .. They decided to give me a waiver to renew my profile in the POOL... Jan 11th draw i got ITA.. They informed me..and said they will collect 1500USD to assist in compiling my documents and submit my application to avoid mis-representation. I had already had enough of the firm and their shit.. so i told them i wont be continuing my application with them. With the help of this amazing thread i was armed with information to submit a successful application.. which i did with my spouse.. We keep reading...Never GIVE UP.. Guys..see you all in Canada.. 41 Likes 2 Shares |

Na wao, $2000 just to fill forms and $1500 just to submit, abi, did they write IELTS for you? Yet they didn't even give you updated information and didn't recreate your profile before it expired. Sorry about your baby, I know one never really moves on from such tragedy but I hope you've been able to accept it and looking out for the rainbow. Your story is an inspiration. Jalzy29: 2 Likes |

Hello all, I am new here and I have been reading some of the pages of the thread to meet up. Our plan is to move as a family latest January 2018. We have started the WES evaluation, still having issues with school verification for DH. Unfortunately I had not read this thread before starting the WES process, as we would have saved tones of monies on evaluating only our highest qualifications and faxing our certificates, but that's already done and we have to just go with it. I have copied the info on IELTS and we are practising and reading in preparation to do ours in Aug/Sept this year. I have some concerns though that I need the gurus in the house to assist me with. on the NOC classification and marriage certificate job description, I need some clarity. 1. I got married in 2003 and at the time I was working as a Logistics Light Fleet Administrator, so my job title was written Administrator. As that job is over 10 years , do I still need to correct my title on the marriage certificate? 2. Though I have over 10 years work experience including NYSC, I can only get reference letters for jobs done between 2007-2010 and 2013-2016. Is this sufficient for the EE? Do I need to get a former supervisor's letter with his business card to cover the other years 2000-2007? 3.My job role changed a lot over the years and I am not seeing an NOC that relates to my job description(s). I worked as a Logistics HSE complaince Officer 2007 -2010; as an HSE travel coordinator, analysing and advising staff on the associated risks and hazards on prospectove business trips as well as collating HSE performance statistics data for the company between 2013 -2016. which NOC do I select? I appreciate your responses. Thank you. (back to reading for IELTS). |
