Well with corolla ,I think they are over hype cars .. The only corolla I kinda like is the se version..
Now back to the main topic here. It is never good to use water in your radiator .. For the simple fact that water boils at a higher speed than coolant . When the engine is running you need coolant to cool it off , mean while water keeps boiling and at times it will cause overheating. When you water instead of coolant. It will coz leakage and rust in your radiator.. Before you know you are replacing radiator.. At times you see people park their car on the street with the hood open.. The car is overheating ,due to the use of water. Nothing to keep the engine cool. And funny thing is that even though coolant might be expensive, you only need it for few years ,some can last up to 5 years in your radiator.. It is not something you use like engine oil .. But Google is your friend, you can read more about coolant. Also if the water is turning browish ,it's either too much rust at the bottom of the radiator, bad water or something else. Have a specialist take a look at it . You might need to replace the radiator.. If it does need replacement, just make sure you look for quality coolant ..

I kinda like this your post smiley You explained so well.

I just changed d transmission oil like 4 months ago, I wanted to change my engine oil by myself, so after watching how to do it on YouTube, I went under d car, instead of loosing d engine oil nut, I loosed d gear oil nut and throw away d oil. It was when I check d engine oil gauge I discovered I’ve bleeped up.
I bought d original Toyota gear oil almost 13k. I called Gazzuzz and he advised me on d oil to buy which I did.

If only a voice told you to take the drained oil close to your nose, you would have known. And the oil must be very dark.

Easy, go to your mechanic, drain what you have there and pour the coolant (already mixed with water)

Get a comprehensive insurance and tracker installed, Get a mechanic to check the suspension system, Sevice the fuel system, Always use good oil full synthetic or sythetic blend if you want your car engine to withstand the engine abuse for a longer time.
I tot it was never advisable to use synthetic blend

Not to be used to cover huge distance as the protection isn't enough. You can use sythetic blend for only 3000 miles.

I thought someone said it is all about the "TROPHY", if it was truly about the trophy, why would Andy Ruiz Jnr be demanding for a £40m "PRIZE MONEY" for a rematch to defend his new title?

The "NEXT LOSER" want a large share of the cake?

It is always about the MONEY.

Enlighten me sir, I know you are not a fan of corolla but I drive a corolla over a yr now on uber and I always use water as coolant, tho after like 1min of adding water the water changes colour into a brownish colour.
Am I suppose to use that coolant instead of water.
As in adding the coolant to the radiator.
I will appreciate if you explain better to me and other on here.
Tks
Your water seems to be missing with your oil. What's the colour of your tail pipe smoke? Does your car overheat?

Also water leaves debris on side of the engine causing clogged blockage due to dirty residues in water and rust as well. Any cheap coolant like abro red is fine if he can't afford costly once.

Yes it is ok to switch to coolant.. Am not a mechanic, but with sense I get. I will have a mechanic check the radiator to make sure it is still in good shape.. Than have the mechanic drain all the water and rinse out any particles completely before pouring fresh coolant .. That will be my advice, but since I made sure all my uber cars especially have coolant. Have not experience over heating on any of my cars. Except for my Honda ciciv fan that was not rotating... prevention is better than cure, so they say o

It has nothing to do with water mixing with oil.
That brownish colour is a sign of rust caused by using water instead of coolant.
He needs to flush his cooling system and get the right coolant for his car.
