My corolla 03 model check engine light is permanently ON and over consuming fuel lately. Went for scan and this is the result. Does this mean my catalyst needs to be replaced or is it repairable?
I google search this result but I learnt it could be a bad o2 oxygen sensor, the catalyst no longer active or there could be a leak on the exhaust system.... My exhaust system not leaking tho.
Anybody with related issues and how was it fixed? My Technician suggested I change the Catalyst

I had same issues that you are having on your 03 funny thing is mine is still 03. Ac doesn’t cool properly in the sun and consumes fuel. My catalyst was missing and my O2 sensor was Bad. So I changed the O2 sensor and the fuel consumption was manageable. Not totally efficient oooo but manageable

There is a saying that person wey dey ask question no dey miss road. Remember last time you said I didn't give the total distance in kilometers covered, which I have done again and I did previously. If you read what I wrote you will notice I only did a recap then transition into my latest challenge am facing now which is after changing plugs, coils and service nozzles the engine is now still miss firing. The purpose of these thread I guess is to share experience and answer questions, so if you can please do.

PS. Not that I can't try my hands here and there till I solve the challenge but I feel it will save me time if one learn from other that might have experienced such. Hope you get the idea or see waiting I dey try paint.

u hv been told times without number dat ur car doesn't consume fuel but u no dey hear, I bought exact 3k fuel on my corrola cos of u

I did 3 surge last week and I did not tell riders, don't see reason to tell dem for prayer answered grin it got bad to the point of having apo failed from surulere to neca house... I review and told rider to go, when she get the receipt, she should transfer whatever she saw. App display 2300 and she did sent it.

Boss you go mis December bonus well b dat, u can tell dem deh on slight surge and still find way to convince them to take the ride and the reason for surge... Inbtw most of them know cos the estimation price do alert dem, only person that does not bother to check estimation falls into trap.

ur ECU detected it's catalyst is not working as it should, so it's either blocked or broken(it LL choke n consume excess fuel if blocked), but check if it's still manageable Sha, OEM catalyst is sold for 70k(do not ever buy after market ladipo catalyst o)
But there's another way around though, it's easier and cheaper, you will never ever have to bother about catalyst ever again throughout d life of ur vehicle,
If ur catalyst is manageable, den u might need only an adapter to fool the ECU, but if it's not u LL need both the adapter/spacer my panel guy to do his magic on ur catalyst (50yrs guarantee lol)

I Report to Uber, uber balance me immediately with extra compensation. I can only tell u after d trip. Not b4 trip. They will cancel if u tell them b4 trip. Most of them don’t understand surge so i educate them after I chop d surge.

Good evening sirs, I'm sorry to bother you people here, I actually asked this question on abuja section but yet to get response. I base in Ibadan but I'm planning to relocate to abuja for uber purpose but my problem is that I'm not familiar with abuja roads. Though I have visited abuja on many cases but never drive on abuja roads before except driving all the way from Ibadan to lugbe . So please, how can I be able to cope with the challenges of unfamiliar roads and how possible ways can it be helpful for me? thanks for your anticipated response.

It's not a big deal. Rely on your map to start with and then u will get familiar with the roads.

U will experience less issue with police and all. There are lesser one way in Abuja ..roads are good and wide. Streets are named. Don't be sacred. Nobody will disturb u wherever u park while waiting for request

Note: ..don't break traffic rule
Don't pick rider from normal bus stop. If the pick up location is major bus stop, tell the rider to walk foward to avoid agbero people.

I drive in Abuja.

I have a working catalyst converter that can serve you for a token. Which I removed from my tokunbo car after upgrading the exhaust system. Chat me up 08034288798.

Remember good ones cost about 40 to 60k in ladipo.

They do say Hyundai part is expensive , yet I bought my own Tokunbo compressor for 23k there about , so I no know how Toyota compressor go reach 45k. Well I know one AC guy around BARIGA , as if you’re going to Unilag , he’s good.... and another one at egbeda. Those are the only two I can refer to.

Others are expensive trial by error technician.

You can Whatsapp me or I can drop the details here too.
