pls I will like u to enlighten me more......wat re the problems that Benz owners face and wat model did u drive.

Oh well, from my repair experience, most benz part ( e class and c class) within year 2004-2008 parts are not entirely expensive. The major issue aside fuel would just be wrong diagnosis and inability to find the right mechanic. Basically, if your car maintain culture is good, and you have RELIABLE benz mechanic, also u urself understand your car basic repair yourself. You would be fine.

Also ehail should not be your main source of income , so you dont over stress it and f@&k up to find out . But i have been doing road trips with the e350 w211 engine benz i posted here. Lagos to Ilorin then osun , then ibadan and back to lagos. Most likely will register the second one for ecowas brown card so i can drive it into cotonou as well. Nothing major, just have extra cash, good mechanic, and be cautious.

I mention WRONG diagnosis because it is a common problem with mechanics facing a benz repair. On the e350 i changed belt like 5 times after changing a bad roller. Only to find out that instead of 6PK belt (6 pin) they installed 7, what that means is that the belt will roll out of place, the. Fall on bearing and cut. So it wasn’t necessarily the car but wrong repair. And how much was the real roller for it ? Just 8k and i have spent over 20k on belts. Now its working perfectly.

Also had overheat issue one time, why? The return hose was glued using a tiny hoes replacement. What happens is that the return to engine was not enough and after engine runs for a while , it dries up. Simple fix, replace complete hoes using benz radiator and original hoes, then replacing the seal that goes to the engine which was already worn out.

And u have to understand basic repairs as well. Eg my car battery is in the boot. What it means is , if the car battery is disconnected, and u have no KEY to the boot, u cant start the car. I have key to open the door not boot. One day i was stock , close to a mechanic shop, and they all were looking for panel beater. Lol.

In the engine bay however, u can short circuit the fuse box with a battery to get light inside the car and simply press unlocked. Had to teach them and they were surprised. U kinda have to go beyond owning the car, and understanding it , since u will likely be better than most road side mechanic that will handle it.

Yes its a little to handle for a started, but like i said, tale precautions, have reliable mechanic, get some money for repair for a start. Before u hit the road. Good luck

You know why I hate Monday's hustle?
Na this kind of stuff meehnnn.
Though na so e dey be on week days but Monday's own dey get muscle, cos na full force people dey take come out on Monday's because na the beginning of the week and it is believed that Mondays na money day/hustle day, so people come out with full rush from the weekend spent.
This is why I don't hustle on Monday (and I'm sure I'm not the only one).
And this is where bolt app comes to play.
Before I drive out, or park somewhere after a trip, I would check bolt app to see all the angles that have traffic, na that one I dey take judge the kind of orders I pick on indrive.
Once I see where traffic plenty on bolt app, I already know my movements and destinations.
Hope you enjoyed your ride sha?
And hope it "worthed" it? grin
Double respect, boss.

Most users of Honda city (auto drive) have been known to complain about electrical and transmission issues. You can make more research on it.

If you can get a Honda civic or city, it will be way better than Kia Rio. Kia maybe expensive to maintain especially parts.

lyreek:
Please guys is it advisable to pick 2014 Nigerian used Kia rio on hire purchase for uber / taxify and bolt…
What is the reliability of the car to withstand that long and steady running… will the Kia deliver? Or does it breakdown easily because I don’t want to get disappointed along the line

I am particularly avoiding corolla brand because of the insecurity involved please your candid advice is highly needed urgently.

Hello guys. I’m beginning to doubt this e hailing of a thing. Or is it my location? I saw a trip that will take about 30 mins for 1,700 naira on indrive and drivers are picking it. Please is this how it works? And also is bolt now better than indrive? Indrive fare looks too cheap. The problem I have with bolt is that I can’t pick locations to go to and that has affected my driver’s score.

Please how are you guys doing it? Cos I learnt this business is profitable
