Emerging reports have revealed that President Muhammadu Buhari will not occupy the office of Petroleum Minister as earlier speculated.

According to a report by The Oil and Gas Year, an unnamed spokesperson for the presidency confirmed that the President Buhari would leave the portfolio vacant while playing a supervisory role.

The said spokesman, who spoke to Bloomberg on Monday, October 12, 2015, was quoted as saying: “There will be no petroleum minister. Maybe he will appoint a minister of state, which is a junior minister.

It is yet to be known which of the Presidential Spokesperson gave the revelation as the President has Garba Shehu and Femi Adesina acting as official media aides to the President.

Shehu is the Senior Special Adviser to the President on Media and Publicity while Adesina is the Special Adviser to the President on Media and Publicity.

Mr. president, you are a retired General & Nigeria's most pressing need for now is security. Why don't you shun the path of greed and take the defence ministry?

This story didn't tell us anything different from Buhari's stance from the beginning.
He has always said he will play a supervisory role with a minister of state running the ministry's daily activities. It was the wailers who changed it completely as every word uttered by this administration is always misinterpreted and misconstrued.

As the president, PMB is the supervisor of all the Ministries.
If he can appoint Ministers for others, he should also appoint a minister for petroleum and supervise them together!
As far as I am concern, nothing has changed. He is still the invisible Minister of petroleum.
He is only trying to escape being screened by the Senate!

The "old senile" surely knows how to throw banana to you monkeys (wailers).

Think abt it, and you will understand that he is still the head...

If you still dnt get it, who call the shots?

Who supervises the "junior officer"?

Dunce!

What is the difference? Indirectly he's still the petroleum minister.
