The percentages of Igbo people

Apparently around 80% of those from the Bight of Biafra were Igbo! This is too much!

Not sure how true this is, but I'll say it anyway. . I read somewhere that it is estimated by some black American historians/anthropologists (or something like that. . ) that about 60% of black Americans in the U.S., who are descendants of slaves in the U.S., have at least one Igbo ancestor.
I'll have to go and search out where I read that.

I would reply and educate you, but you came at me the wrong way. Name me one high profile Puerto Rican, Brazilian or Cuban who has come back to Yorubaland. Igbo people have already had Forest Whitaker and Wesley Snipes comeback and the Cuban Abakua, a version of Ekpe, members who descended from the Efik have visited Calabar. I'm not even mentioning Paul Robeson, an activist, who stated clearly that he was of Igbo descent. Please don't start the ethnic rivalry, not because of PC issues, but because you'd lose, lol.

The usage of Igbo in the diaspora till today:

Igbo unions by diaspora:

Family tradiiton told T.D Jakes he was Igbo and he guessed he was Igbo correctly before his DNA test:
http://www.afripol.org/Jakes.htm

This Belizean musician knows he is of Igbo descent:
http://www.drummerconnection.com/user/evanbelize/blogs/2009/03/01/entry-5263-evan-belize-drummer-thomas-mapfumo

Family tradition says this guy was Igbo from his fathers side:

and then check this story out:

Cuban Abakua descendant of the Efik visit Calabar stil retaining Efik culture:

Igbo people are not loud and are a very private and quiet people, just because you don't see the Igbo in the diaspora flashing their Igbo identity around, doesn't mean that they are not there, they are just keeping personal information personal.

"Slavery greatly restricted the ability of Africans in America to practice their cultural traditions, many practices, values, and beliefs survived and over time have modified or blended with European American culture."

There were more Africans in Brazil to Europeans than there were in North America and their culture was not as restricted as it was in North America, "SHETT HEAD"

dont know which disdain you're seeing, but your obvious attempt to dodge the facts by claiming Ethiopia, isnt working. Besides, human origins are placed in Kenya, not Ethiopia.

Mba, its in Ethiopia's Omo valley where the oldest human remains were found, and I can't remember claiming Ethiopia, just stating that the human race is said to originate there. . . . . . . .

You can't even put a simple sentence together. There were Yoruba people (although very little) in America. 'Ode' why do you think they didn't hand down Ifa to them? (hint, hint: check my previous explanation)

Most of the people you listed (I don't know who the rest are) are influenced by American music, especially P-Square (Michael Jackson and Usher), they've even said this themselves.
