Concrete cast for the first decking. ......

As building materials continue to rise, it has become necessary that we buy and stock more items as we continue this work. We are planning to start the upper floors this week if possible.

Oga spyder, I hail ooooo. More power to your elbow. What is quantity of the materials used for this concrete casting? ( I mean, how many bags of cement, rods - size, sand, wood etc)

I will try to calculate this later, after subtracting the remaining materials.

As the cost of rods and other materials inch upwards, I have to keep stocking my sites to remain safe.

We are doing this for N16 m for the construction stage till roofing is done. The finish will depend on the quality of items chosen. Thanks.

Is using concrete biscuit the usual practice of suspending the reinforcement rods or just that ingenuity of average Nigerian artisan. Boy these guys can think.

I think it is standard practice, its meant to raise the rods from the wood, making it stay halfway within the concrete slab. But it also helps us keep our plastic pipes safe from being trampled and then broken.

The N16m is for the construction stage only, till the roofing is done (good quality high grade aluminium sheets, 0.45) The cost does not include plastering, windows, doors, electrical wires, plumbing or any other works.

Block walls completed here, lintel reinforcements for columns and beams all done, carpentry of the lintel in progress today, more materials bought and offloaded today. More pictures on Monday.

Three bedrooms on the left, two bedrooms on the right wing of the building. Only 30 tons is too small for this 6 flats, but still counting.

Thanks for your responds, I know that 30 tons can not finish the 6 flats. But can it complete 2 deck?how much roughly does this particular concrete slab cost? As you know I have some thing like this coming up next month, I just want know what to expect. Many thanks gaf!!!
