Please I am in a little bit confused, I need experts in this field to counsel me on these two scholarships. ONE scholarships to Delft University , Netherlands, 2 years, full funding, in Msc Petroleum Engineering and Geosciences, with specialization in reservoir characterization and geology.

The second is Msc. Exploration geophysics or GeosEAD, university of leeds/Herriot watt, UK, full funding , one year. Please which one do u think i should accept having graduated in Applied geology with 1.1, and having work experience of more than 2 years as exploration/processing Geophysicist in oil servicing company. Please, i will like to hear your advice before 25 may, 2009

Got to Heriot Watt.


The course is very well respected within the industry and you will complete it in 1 yr. It is very challenging sha, as dey pack a lot into the 1 year.


I think it also builds on your experience, which will place you at an advantage in the eyes of employers.


I dont know why Delft call their course "Msc Petroleum Engineering and Geosciences". Are they training you to be a Petroleum Engineer or a Geoscientists? Methinks at the Msc level, you need to be focusing on one or the other, not both - another reason why I would prefer Heriot-Watt.


Maybe I am just biased, being an alumni of Heriot Watt myself.
