all these broomstick modelling that is been practiced in the west is what our won models are copying. Should we not try to poject the beauty in africannes which is actually plump, black with great dancing skills. what do you think? |

Clothing Designers generally make their clothes in the 'broomstrick' sizes and models have to cater to the designers if they want to work in the business. That's why a model's body has to be versatile. Which means 'thin.' There are some full-figured models, but very few. |

10 years ago i watched some Model Contests and Haute Couture shows back in Nigeria, i found it so wonderfull that every kinda type of women (if tall, short, slim, big or just normal looking) had a chance to show her best. Special in Africa Clothing Designers have the choice to create dresses in what ever size for a smaller amount of money. Its just sad, |
