My friend told me that while he was on holidays from school (university) during September this year a friend of his influenced him to join one of Nigerians deadliest and most feared cult group at home, he said he has gone through the first stage of initiation , he is left with the completing stage which involves the blessings, naming and other rituals, but he has not yet completed the stage and now he is back to his school which is not far away from home. He says he does not want to be a member anymore, he wants to stay cultism free.... But he does not want the members at home to inform the once at school that he is a runaway member... How can dat be possible ? Please you guys should advise him on what to do ? |

Joining "anti cult group" or similar will not protect him! That would just be insulting to his brothers in the society and give them even more reason to seek revenge. His friend knows him and will be held responsible by most groups, so his friend will make sure that people at his school seek him out to join or suffer retribution. Although he has not fully joined he is still subject to discipline from the group. Only way is to pay money to buy his way out which might save him. Or leave and never visit his village again. He will never know who is waiting around the corner to seek revenge. |
