President –Elect, Mohammadu Buhari has reassured that his administration will crush the Boko Haram insurgents within two months of his assuming office.

General Buhari spoke  on a Cable News Network (CNN) programme, Amanpour, monitored in Lagos, explaining that the Federal Government made some mistakes in its fight against the insurgents that will be addressed by his regime.

Indeed, Buhari said that his regime would need the assistance of Niger, Cameroun and Chad to help checkmate the insurgents.

His words: “We will be needing the cooperation of neighbouring countries such as Cameroun, Chad and Niger. There were efforts made by the President Goodluck Jonathan administration, but it was not good enough and it came rather late.

“We expected the Federal Government four years ago to sit down with these countries and make sure they do not allow the terrorists free movement across borders, training facilities and movement of weapons.

“These were only done a few months ago and we have seen how Cameroun, Chad and Niger are fighting Boko Haram more than Nigeria is doing until recently.

“Really we have seen enough and we have enough law enforcement to face Boko Haram squarely.”

There is no way to hold APC accountable for the downfall of PDP. But if there is sufficient ground to prove that certain former PDP elements now in APC contributed to the woes of the nation, then APC using them has strong question mark.

thanks alot for this reply. If you notice, all the activities of BH in the last months point to the fact that they are depleted. Attacking unprotected villages, suicide bombings and kidnapping are all soft targets which was what BH was doing when it first started before clueless JONATHAN allowed them to grow wings to the extent of controlling most of eastern Nigeria. Jonathan and is gang mismanaged the BH grossly situation to the extent that Idris Debby was the one liberating nigerian villages, still jona blame an opposition that has never been in power! If he had acted like the president he was and not some drunkard from otuoke thousands of life would'v been saved.
