Jeremiah 17:5-8⁠

New International Version (NIV)

5 This is what the Lord says:

“Cursed is the one who trusts in man,
    who draws strength from mere flesh
    and whose heart turns away from the Lord.
That person will be like a bush in the wastelands;
    they will not see prosperity when it comes.
They will dwell in the parched places of the desert,
    in a salt land where no one lives.

“But blessed is the one who trusts in the Lord,
    whose confidence is in him.
They will be like a tree planted by the water
    that sends out its roots by the stream.
It does not fear when heat comes;
    its leaves are always green.
It has no worries in a year of drought
    and never fails to bear fruit.”

Prophectically speaking from the above, 5 things will happen in 2016:

1. 2016 is going to be a very difficult year.

2. Trusting in man in 2016 is going to fail many.

3. Because of economic hardship, many will give up trust in God.

4. 2016 can be described as a year of drought, but those who trust in God will prosper greatly.

5. Trusting in God will enable us live supernaturally to the amazement of many in 2016.

What does it mean to trust God? It means making Him your ONLY source-not your job, employer, spouse, pastor, connections, partnerships, etc. Happy 2016 in advance
