6 foot plus, fast rising actress and model, Pre­cious Linus, cuts a dashing figure and her good looks are paying off. Linus, who started her modeling career in 2014, emerged winner of Dare2dream Season 2 and automatically became the new Face of Youth Flex FCMB.
The red carpet event, which was hosted by EbonyLife TV presenter, Zainab Balogun and DJ Exclusive of Cool FM, had judges like Omotola Jalade- Ekeinde and Mo Abudu. In this interview, the 21-year-old stu­dent of Theater & Film Studies, Nnamdi Azikiwe University, talks about her career as a model and her venture into the movie industry. Excerpts:

When did you start model­ing?
I started modeling in 2014, but officially, I started this year.

Have you done any run­way jobs or pageants, and how has the journey been?
It’s been quite exciting and challenging. I have done a couple of runway jobs and pageants. I was involved in the Mr. Anambra Universe 2014 contest. I was also in the Kinabuti Dare2Dream grand finale. I won Miss Dazzle Nigeria, Eastern Ambassador, and Miss Dazzle Nigeria Best Model last year.
Now that you’re the new Face of Youth Flex FCMB, how do you feel?
I feel happy and blessed. I feel privileged to have had this wonderful experience and platform.

We understand that you’re also an actress?
Yes I am. That’s actually my first love.

Really? What movie have you featured in?
I have done mostly stage plays and just a few movies like Eternal Mistake and Head of Ijele. Currently, I am work­ing on Diary of a Campus Girl and I’m playing lead role. I’ll go fully into acting next year.

So, what happens to your modeling career?
I’ll still be doing that be­cause one is my first love and the other my second, I don’t really know which one yet.

What has actually kept you going in the entertain­ment industry?
The love of what I do; that’s what keeps me going and, of course, God.

Is there anybody in par­ticular that keeps you going like your boyfriend?
Ah! You people are here again o (Laughing). Leave me jare.

I see, you want to keep him private?
You people should leave me alone o. I’m too smart for your tricks (laughter).

So what’s new?
Wow! A new management just signed me up. So, I’m looking forward to working with them. Being the new Face of Youth Flex FCMB, I am also looking forward to working with them, and I’m looking forward to taking my acting career to the next level as well. My education is very important too. I can’t leave that. By the grace of God, I will be able to combine everything.

Have you modeled for any clothing line?
Yes. Kinabuti. Dare­2Dream was actually an initiative of Kinabuti.

As a model and actress, do you have any dos and don’ts?
Yes, no nude pictures and no porn.

But you don’t mind sex scene?
No! I already said no porn.

Any advice for up-and-coming models?
Yes, don’t forget the G-factor, which is the God factor. Don’t be afraid to live your dreams no matter the ob­stacles you’re facing. Don’t let anyone tell you, you can’t do it. Always remain humble and don’t be afraid of hard work.
