1. Manners. Manners which can also be reffered to as "etiquette" in other context, can be defined as the way a person normally behaves especially while with other people. It is also said to be a code of behavior that delineates expectations for social behavior
according to contemporary conventional norms within a
society, social class, or group. The fact still remains that most of the so called upper class citizens lacks this very improtant "attribute". Imagin a naija rich man in his ToyotaHighlander rolling down his glass and spitting through his window undecided Na wa o. Respect for ourselves guides our morals, respect
for others guides our manners. 2.Morals. Moralty also often reffered to as "decency" is the differentiation of intentions, decisions, and
actions between those that are distinguished as proper and
those that are improper: In other words, it is the disjunction
between right and wrong. Morality can be a body of
standards or principles derived from a code of conduct from a
particular philosophy, religion, or culture. Morality may also be specifically synonymous with "goodness"
or "rightness".An example of a good moral is the Golden Rule which states that, "One should treat others as one would like others to treat oneself" can somone please help relate this to what's hapening iin our society now? I can't even blame the rich keeping to himself when even the top govt officials are diverting funds supposed to procure arms to protect fellow citizens from the cold hand of death into their pockets, Isn't that Moral lack? 3.Respect Respect is a positive feeling of admiration or deference for a
person or specific actions and conduct representative of that esteem. According to Merriem-Webster, respect is a feeling of admiring someone or something that is good, valuable, important, etc. Some people earn the respect of individuals by assisting others or playing important social roles. In many cultures, individuals are considered to be worthy of respect until they prove otherwise, that simply means one in the position of respect if found guilty of immoral or unethical acts loses respect earned at default. I don't want to make a long roll out of this, but I wrap it up into one question, do these "high class" citizens worth respect? :-X1.
