Gaminechic: satisfied about what? you aint seeing nothing yet. satisfied about the lies that they told about paying for the maps they h acked into or what? you havent seen funny yet. why are you afraid of coming out with the COTEK side of the story, why? we not only called your friend, we went to their office, to obtain better proof. This company bought 50 maps to be put on their Garmin 200 device, the same one you wrote off as a scam, we reduced the price for them to help them, and then months after, they took a map from the one we gave them and converted it to fit another device, iNAV and begin to sell it, and you think that is funny? |

Now, I mentioned, these hackers can not change the base map, whatever mistakes the original map maker makes in his map, gets carried away into their own system, unless they actually got the map legally from source. Just as a simple thing for the eyes. Look at the two figures below- in naming one of our POI, we made a mistake, we named First Bank Shipper's Plaza Branch as First Bank Shipper'S Plaza Branch, notice the capital "S" in place of small "s" - they carried this error foward in the map, why, because the map is not their map and is not licensed to them, they hacked into it and made distributable copies.

WE have specific ways of naming our towns for easy address search, example, in Lagos State with many areas and surburbs, we group them into one for easy identification, example, we listed one group as "Abule Egba - Agbado - Ojokoro - LA. This grouping is specific to us, we grouped them like this for a reason known to us alone. Check out the two figures below, compare and contrast, first is ours, second is theirs, people who dont understand the details of map making will say these proofs nothing, well, to us, it does, we have more proof that they hacked into these maps and put it on that device.

There are more things on those figures on the first page that outrightly prove that those are from our maps, and from all it takes, we havent licensed it for use on any devices in which it has been used. This is a serious issue. |

Wow! I guess you have a case now. Against the company in question. Not against the innocent individual that simply came to nairaland to post about something that she found interesting. |

alabi, The "Friend" i was talking about was Texazzpete, and thats the only friend i have in this matter. Can you please tell us exactly what you said to Cotek. Because i have heard more news, disturbing and befuddling as of this morning. Mr man, you better come out with the truth, everybody has seen the sort of character you are. Whether you mapped nigeria, africa, the whole world , mars and jupiter sef by your own hand. . it doesnt erase the foul-stench that emanates from your personality. |

Gaminechic: Do you think I care? I have told you, if you need more curses and abuses to rain against my person, ask me, I will give them to you, because you cant match the abuses i have in my vocab with that of yours. You havent seen anything yet. Just wait. Foul stench or no foul stench, who i have met in life, where i have been, they are the people and places you can only dream about in your lifetime, so, let the stench do what? Let it smell the more. We are talking about thieves you are blabbing about personality, which personality does a thief has? Asking me to come out of the truth is making all of you the more guilty, what truth do you want again, look, this is going where you havent expected, and by the time the nail drives in all the way, you gonna see bread and call it rice, just wait. |
Re: The Best Satellite Navigation System In Nigeria? by ElRazur: 10:51am On Jun 24, 2009 |
Alabiyemmy. Interesting set of pictures there. So the one with the box screen with names of POIs are yours, while the Navi screen shot are that from OP? Intereesting. However, not to pur rain on your parade, do you have anything outside of these screen shots? It would be a difficult one convicing people in this day and age with those screen shots. For all we know, it could be "doctored" I.e those spelling errors added on your end to reflect that the OP stole you ideas. I wonder if the OP can provide alabiyemmy with a working sample, and he can examine things, but I am guessing that would never happen. @OP, I have no issues with you (or alabiyemmy), however you can see where alabi is coming from. I don't know if you have, but would you consider providing him with details or at least contact of someone he can deal with so as to remove you from the line of fire? Just a thought. |

Foul stench or no foul stench, who i have met in life, where i have been, they are the people and places you can only dream about in your lifetime, so, let the stench do what? Let it smell the more. We are talking about thieves you are blabbing about personality, which personality does a thief has? Who have you met? where have you gone? lol. .e wo So you admit your a thief. . .wonderful. Asking me to come out of the truth is making all of you the more guilty, what truth do you want again, look, this is going where you havent expected, and by the time the nail drives in all the way, you gonna see bread and call it rice, just wait. Guilty of what? rofl Im only guilty of actually thinking you were a reasonable being The only thing i have to do is prepare my popcorn, and no sir it wouldnt take another name. Re: The Best Satellite Navigation System In Nigeria? by Gaminechic: 11:01am On Jun 24, 2009 |
@ElRazur You arent following properly the issue arent if they are his maps or not now. .(even though he has no copyright and any thing in the computer can be manipulated so whatever he presents doesnt make a case) The issue is that, He was paid for this, and he is coming to say nonsense the dude that gave the alabi character the check, called me today and was even assuming i was trying to turn against them. . So you see, this alabi dude aint just a straight person. |
Re: The Best Satellite Navigation System In Nigeria? by labiyemmy(m): 11:03am On Jun 24, 2009 |
Gaminechic: May you die tommorrow if what you are saying is a lie, and may i not see tommorrow if what you are saying is right - ElRazur You see what she is resorting into? Paid me a cheque for which maps? If you read my postings ElRazur - these thieves came to my office with 50 GARMIN GPS devices, begged and pleaded to pay 10k instead of 20k to have our maps loaded on them, because we are keen to help them, we accepted the 10k, they paid 500k or so for the 50 devices instead of 1million naira - i hope you understand me, each device has the map locked into it, so that it wont be copied and used on another, but these thieves also know that the maps will not work on GARMIN devices if they copied them, so, they looked for another device, took one copy, hacked into it, removed the lock codes, which doesnt modify the maps, they now load their devices with Garmin MobileXT, and used KEYGEN to unlock the map we sold to them, meant for 50 devices alone, unlocked it and now put them on these their devices, is someone not understanding me? What they paid for is to put the maps on the 50 Garmin devices, which they claimed werent meant for sale, but they are selling it. I sent my boy to their office in Lagos yesterday, and he saw everything, the devices, the maps. Who is now a lier? |

Re: The Best Satellite Navigation System In Nigeria? by ElRazur: 11:11am On Jun 24, 2009 |
In the midst of the bickering, it is hard to miss a few things. Apologies for that. Anyway, is there a proof he got paid? Surely he won't claim not to have got paid, if he was paid? Or maybe am missing logic? Alabi let us try and cut down on the insult. It won't help you or your case. |
Re: The Best Satellite Navigation System In Nigeria? by labiyemmy(m): 11:12am On Jun 24, 2009 |
ElRazur While i do not know you, I respect you, it is a complete sign of dis respect to insinuate that I will go to the extent of doctoring something to proof a point? That has completely ruled you out of anything i have for you, respect or something. This same company is now calling my office telling them they got the maps from china, and someone is telling me I doctored materials to convince people? Where lies your reasoning and ways to think objectively? |
Re: The Best Satellite Navigation System In Nigeria? by labiyemmy(m): 11:12am On Jun 24, 2009 |
ElRazur Dont partronise me with your words, they are idle and meaningless, stop telling me not to bicker and stop saying things you know nothing about. Why are they calling my office and now telling them they got the maps from China? if they are telling her they paid for the maps? She knows nothing and she is putting her head on the line, they lied to her and instead of her to see, she is here talking about what she doesnt know anything about. My prayer for all of you is that, someone somewhere will steal what you have devoted your lifetime making, calls it his or her own and instead of you to fight, go to the person and offer him or her a handshake. |
Re: The Best Satellite Navigation System In Nigeria? by Gaminechic: 11:14am On Jun 24, 2009 |
At least, if either of you is still alive tomorrow, we'll conclude curses are worthless ROTFL! @El Razur, Proof that he got paid? El razur. .you are so out of this, dont bother your head, draw up your chair, the popcorn is almost ready alabi, I cannot see anything from you, cos your stinking personality is stinging my eyes. Ok, so they got maps from china Didnt they pay you for what you loaded unto their system?? So whats the lie there? LMAO! My prayer for you is that you Live long and prosper |
Re: The Best Satellite Navigation System In Nigeria? by labiyemmy(m): 11:17am On Jun 24, 2009 |
ElRazur My case is not on NairaLand, dont you get it? and you are the least of the person that will adjudicate - every phone call this company makes to my office is taped, recorded, and when the time comes, we will know what is going on, he/she who thinks she can laugh now, will laugh out so loud that her jaws will reach the top of her head. I know where you are, I will find you and fix you. By the time karma does her work, full round circle, you will know what has worked on you. We live in the same Abuja, I swear to God, anyone who tires to destroy another persons livelihood, better see destruction coming his/her way as well. Enough said - we will both handle everything as Nigerians, crude, hapless and lawless. Beleive me. |
Re: The Best Satellite Navigation System In Nigeria? by netotse(m): 11:20am On Jun 24, 2009 |
@alabiyemmi u urself has admitted that gaminechic's not the one you have beef for its the car tracking company(which she is not an employee of)so abeg let her of the hook ehn? you can open another thread and talk about your product there. You're a bizman(from this thread we can all see that u take your work seriously)* so you shouldn't bother with 3rd parties if there's anyone that needs a bashing its the car company and its definitely not on this thread! @gaminechic maybe its about time u freed the guy and his matter cos its starting to spill over from the internet o(this one that he's stating what you do for a living, next thing is your phone number and possibly pictures sef!) *i erroneously wrote 'dont take your work seriously' |
Re: The Best Satellite Navigation System In Nigeria? by labiyemmy(m): 11:22am On Jun 24, 2009 |
netotse: You speak thru your butt hole, stinking as it is. She makes a claim, the COTEK guy says they paid me for the maps, let her provide the proof, dont speak about what you dont know about. Do you all sleep facing the same direction? |
Re: The Best Satellite Navigation System In Nigeria? by naijafan(m): 11:23am On Jun 24, 2009 |
@labiyemmy i dont think el razur claimed you doctored the screenshots. he was just trying to get you prepared for possible arguments that cld be used against you. just in case, picture evidence doesnt hold much water in courts anymore. and seriously, the insults and curses are not cool. |
Re: The Best Satellite Navigation System In Nigeria? by labiyemmy(m): 11:25am On Jun 24, 2009 |
Ask her why is the same company now calling our office to say they got the maps from china? why? Thats the map she claims they told her they paid for. Cant people just reason here? |

Re: The Best Satellite Navigation System In Nigeria? by Nobody: 11:53am On Jun 24, 2009 |
To be honest, Gaminechic shouldn't be drawn into this ruckus. she was paid to do a job and thats exactly what she is/was/has been doing. Alabi, your gripe and grouse should be with the companies. A part of me believes/understands that you may have a case but if you haven't taken necessary legal steps to safe guard the maps and make them yours then you'll need to bring your A-game and very good lawyers to butress your points. Alabi, I would strongly suggest you watch the choice of words you use. it does not make you look very professional. |

Re: The Best Satellite Navigation System In Nigeria? by labiyemmy(m): 11:59am On Jun 24, 2009 |
One thing is now certain - The Best Satellite Navigation System In Nigeria is now obviously a fraud, how pitiable. This was the same thing the NTDC - Nigerian Tourism Development Commission did - took our product and went on to launch it as their own. If we could fight NTDC to submission, why wont we be able to fight smaller companies? |

Why d o alabi get mad at anyone who points out the obvious? Thank heavens others see what am trying to point out. |
Re: The Best Satellite Navigation System In Nigeria? by Ibime(m): 12:19pm On Jun 24, 2009 |
@ labbiyemi, I totally agree with your stance on this issue and your fight to defend your copyright. At the same time, Gamine is just a consultant and does not not know the hullabaloo technical details behind it so it better to aim your ire at the company than Gamine as a person. @ ElRazur, you are out of order. A man is trying to defend his copyright and you are here making unnecessary self-absorbed arguments. This is something the man has poured his sweat into, and is not to be trivialised. For you this argument is just another platform to display your debating skills but for him it is everything. |
