On a more serious note. Bokoharam is not what dey were this time last year.
Sucide bombings may never be eradicated. Its like trying to completely stop kidnappings
But frontal atack on villages n millitary bases that saw d abduction of d chibok girls can hardly repeat itself

So i think d militants better rethink, its just that dey operate amidst vilagers which
Will see to the loss of life of innocent people

Boko haram has been absolved into your army

Atleast 1 in most of those soldiers you see on the road is a boko haram member

Don't worry they have plans for you guys
when the time comes most of you will understand what is really happening
just that by then it will too late

President Muhammadu Buhari has vowed to deal decisively with the seeming resurgence of oil theft, vandalism of pipelines and insecurity in the Niger Delta.
Declaring that the Nigerian Armed Forces had already dealt “deadly blows” on Boko Haram, Mr. Buhari said the activities of oil thieves and vandals would soon be brought to an end, according to a statement by his spokesperson, Garba Shehu, on Tuesday.
“The oil thieves and abductors are a less problematic target. We will re-organise and deal with them,” he was quoted as saying.
Speaking Tuesday in Abu Dhabi, the president warned telecommunication companies operating in Nigeria not to place their desire for huge profits above the security needs of the country.
Speaking at an interactive forum with members of the Nigerian Community in Abu Dhabi, President Buhari said the war against terrorism can only be won with the collective effort and commitment of everyone.
Remarking that the registration of all mobile phone users without exception will help the security agencies to pre-empt terrorist attacks, the president said telecommunication companies operating in Nigeria must adhere to the rules and guidelines of the Nigerian Communications Commission in this regard.
‎President Buhari assured Nigerians at the session that his administration’s war against corruption will continue to be vigorously pursued.
The president pledged that more persons who have abused the public trust will be exposed and brought to justice soon, adding that his government was committed to re-establishing former standards of accountability and probity in the management of public funds which were jettisoned under past administrations.
‎The president appealed for more patience and understanding from Nigerians as his administration takes steps to safeguard the economy from the shock of falling oil prices.
“In the face of our new economic reality of dwindling oil prices, there are a number of things we can really do without to preserve our economy.
“We must develop the capacity to feed ourselves and we should be spending our resources on real development projects, not luxuries,” he said.

Unless d OP is now equating "oil thieves" and "vandals" with militancy,I see nowhere in d report where Buhari threatened d militants or made d said statement credited to him in d post.Pull d post down or re-title it.

Speeches are not harsh in democracy? Let me point out George Bush, Putin, Donald Trump. Even Hitler came to power in a democracy speaking very harsh words. I want you to research things well before posting . Niger Delta militants are not blowing up pipes. These ones are terrorists. The first thing Buhari did in office was pay up militants allowances. You have to be fair before God and man. This is all because of one man Tom Polo. Please always be fair to yourself and without sentiment.
The FG is asking one man to submit himself to justice for corruption and they are blowing up pipes after collecting payments for guarding goose pipes.

Correction please.
Niger Delta does not own the oil. The oil belongs to Nigeria. Niger Delta State governments own the land on which it is produced. Get things straight . No Niger Delta ethnic nationalities discovered oil that is two kilometers under the ground. It is not their property. It is the property of the entities that spent billions of dollars looking for the oil and producing it to the surface which are the FG and oil companies.

The world now sympathize with the ND people. That's why Buhari was asked a question on ND which he answered myopically by dividing Nigeria into 5% and 97%

I don't know why people don't or cannot reason? Is this present bombings related to the Niger Delta struggle?

This region fed Nigeria and has continue doing so. What happened to dialogue? Yaradua was no fool when he negotiated.

The militants creating havoc now are the same one that embraced Yaradua amnesty program, which this administration is still paying the Niger Delta youths. Must we be negotiating each time this thugs destroy our pipelines. This wanton destruction in not limited to Niger Delta, Ikorodu, Arepo etc has the same story. This vandalised pipelines is one major reason that we have oil tankers on our roads which in turns have effect on the landing cost of fuel. Any group that is so unpatriotic as to destroy government properties should be dealt with. You can not be collecting amnesty money and still be committing economy sabotage.

The same way they have been reacting in the NE baa!!! The ND is not the NE,oil prices are low at the moment,if Nigeria does not fully utilize her full oil production capacity many states would not even be able to pay salaries let alone procure weapons to prosecute a war.

So who suffers? Is it Buhari The people blowing up their own land, destroying their own resources, what exactly do they gain from this equation?
Btw oil is not our only means of livelihood. If anything, the downfall of oil prices has shown us we can live without it

Give the Niger Delta the right to control their resources and militancy will end.

You can't beat a child and expect the child not to cry
You can't keep stealing their resources in the name of " National Wealth " , leave their land barren and expect them to be happy.

Forget my friend , let's face the truth. call a spade a spade.

Only true fredralism or confederate system of government will bring peace to Nigeria
I don't understand your point .The problems of Niger delta is not much different from the problems facing the other parts of the country -CORRUPTION. They need to ask their leaders what they have been doing with the derivation and allocation funds
Ibori ,Alams, Odili even Tompolo, GEJ . Their local chiefs and traditional rulers who are collecting money fr oil companies. so why destroying public properties ?

Buhari as a military tyrant doesn't believe in negotiated settlement in regards to amnesty agreement pres Yaradua signed with militants.

He wants an outright military victory where by the militants will surrender unconditionally.
However,he is living in a fools paradise.
That amnesty money still pain am for body.

I would like to actually understand what u mean?.Are u of the opinion that Yar'Adua policy on amnesty is the best?
Do u know the collosal amount Government spend to settle this militants? If amounts were spent developing that region, will this not have been better?
Buhari's mentality doesn't support celebrating touts, miscreants and thieves. So the likes of Asari,Tompolo and Co must understand that there is a new President in town who will not party with useless men. Those of u living side by side with such characters had better relocate now be4 u start complaining of stray bullet hitting the innocent.

I cause all you supporting these Militants, it's obvious we have enemies within us that call themselves Nigerians, just because you don't like the president, just because he is Fulani and a Muslim. You want him to fail, forgetting that if he fails we all go down. Wake up Elections are over, support this Govt. These Militant are not fighting for Good roads, well equipped hospitals, jobs for the people of the ND, they are fighting to be paid huge sum of money for doing nothing even though the FG still pays them Amnesty money. So who in his right senses will be supporting these guys. The problem of these country is corruption, you have the NDDC, the Ministry of ND,Royalties from Oil Majors been paid to Oil producing communities, 13% derivatives paid to state Govt's of ND thereby making them get the biggest allocations. Whatelse do you want, go and hold your Minister and Governors they are the real problem.
