Aerodynamically, the Russian planes have always be known to be more friendly to fly compared to their Western counter part! Just dunno why this is. Also, there was a photo recently of the nextGen Russian fighter being developed in one of those cold warehouses in Russia and it was said to be one step ahead of the F-35 with stealth technology! What do the russians do better that makes their fighter planes always a step ahead of that of the West? Even the F-35 Joint strike force is already being seen by some partners as way to costly, over budget and would continual systems upgrade as it is almost completely reliant on Advanced Flight Control Systems in much of its capabilities! |

^^^^hmmm interesting the Chinese J20, oops notice the Dihedral wings and the seemingly obtuse canard Isn't the mid section too long and why wouldn't any radar pick out that section and there appears to be good enough surface for energy dispersion for any decent radar to pick up? , Not impressed with the Video, I need them to demonstrate the Aerodynamics capability of this fighter, show me the good oldey flight controls actived dog fighting capability and I am sure as with other Chinese fighters, Flight Control System is a 3rd grader! Though wish Nigeria can have something close to this built at home! |

Boeing to leapfrog F-35 with 6th generation fighter? Not sure what to make of this story. Aviation Week's defence guru Dave Fulghum has come away from an interview with Boeing's F/A-18 programme boss Bob Gower with news the company plans a more advanced Block 3 Super Hornet and is working on a "sixth generation" fighter. According to Dave, Boeing thinks this pair will make a better package than Lockheed's "fifth-generation" F-22 and F-35. So far, Boeing has avoided playing the generation game with Lockheed, although its Block 2 F/A-18E/F is widely and unofficially classified as "4.5 generation". Dave suggests the stealthier, longer-range Block 3 Super Hornet would be "4.75 generation". Boeing's sixth-generation fighter, meanwhile, would be available around 2024 and would be even stealthier and longer-legged, he says. It will be interesting to see what the US Navy makes of Boeing's plans. So far, the Navy has stayed faithful to the F-35C Joint Strike Fighter despite its delays, and the only inkling of any future fighter plans has been a recent Navy reference to the Northrop X-47B unmanned combat air system demonstrator as a "critical step toward F/A-XX". Maybe they mean the FA-37, from the movie Stealth, Lovely looking bird. |

^^^ I think all these stealthy technology would be dame useless by the time Space based radars with 3D optical embedded come on board.Using near accurate positioning technology space based, I would pluck out these birds out of the sky using my Interstationary Space based rentry vehicle carrying missiles. Hmmm, with the coming on board of wireless electricity, can we borrow a leaf from it and do a reverse engineering and change the core technology base of today's radars from mere emitters and receivers to just receivers? Oh clouds clouds clouds, good blanket, init, |

Had it been the Strategic Defense Initiative by the then President Ronald Reagan came online, it would have been d ULTIMATE. No Intercontinental Ballistic Missile or their dreaded planes will get to its point, without d SDI detecting and destroying it within seconds and it can be use 4 attack too. |

Meet the nemesis of US Aircraft carrier battle-group, the Rusian-made MOSKIT as well as the Russian & Indian made BRAHMOS supersonic antiship cruise missiles. They travels at a speed of Mach 3 to sink Aircraft carriers. They are currently the fastest and most lethal antiship cruise missile in the world today. They're sometimes termed "fire and forget", and the US has no answer for them.

Maple: Meet the nemesis of US Aircraft carrier battle-group, the Rusian-made MOSKIT as well as the Russian & Indian made BRAHMOS supersonic antiship cruise missiles. They travels at a speed of Mach 3 to sink Aircraft carriers. They are currently the fastest and most lethal antiship cruise missile in the world today. They're sometimes termed "fire and forget", and the US has no answer for them. You CAN'T sink a US carrier for many reasons! First, they don't travel alone. They are typically escorted by destroyers, frigates and cruisers equipped with Aegis defense system - the world's most advanced defense system - and nuclear submarines. Second, they displace 100,000 tons of water, making them the biggest warships ever constructed and they have thousands of watertight compartment such that typical missiles and bombs will lack the punch to send a carrier down. The only way, you can probably achieve success is via a heavy nuclear explosion, and since this carriers are considered 4 acres of US sovereignty wherever in the world they lie, this would imply declaring nuclear war against the United States. No one will be foolish enough to attempt that. Hiroshima still sends the chill down the spines of the most radical world leaders. The US does not need to create answers to these things. It is still owns the world's biggest military muscle. And i shake my head when you bring Iran into the picture. Iran cannot even stand head to head with either British, French or German forces, i even dare say Israeli forces as well. Israel can violate Iran's airspace if it wishes to do so, and Iran knows this. Comparing Iran to the US miliatry is comparing the strength it will take you to climb Mt Everest with what it may take you to climb your stairway at home. |

bookface: many air craft carriers where lost in war games. the missels are decinded to get through that defensive unbrealer. Witch they would. You don't need to sink the carrier to stop it. Give it a strong enough list and all flight operations are canceled. Basically it then becomes useless. WW2 battel ships where better armoured than carriers and they where sunk through brute force methods. if you hit it enough times it will sink. nothing is unsinkable Though America could deaft Iran in a war it will not a Iraq. Iran has a far more advance war machine than Iraq. Though most of america losses will be from a ground war, air and navel will see few losses. In the navel arean Irans biggest wepaon are her Subs and sea mines. If the USN comes to close it could come under attack from swarms of fast small boats. In the Air most losses will be from air defense with litel or none from the irans air force |

The Sly: That explain why they have spent 8 years fighting illiterate Talibans and still nothing to show for it.very dumb statement, more than 50percent of afghan youths are ready to be recruited.American's aim was not to kill all the Taliban, but to scare them and deter them from trying to hurt America or its Allies/interests. you can not kill an ideology or end it,you can only minimise its effect-except you want them to annihilate the entire Afghanistan. |
