The story goes of an old man, who had 2 pets, a bird and a dog. He called the bird “Ork” and the dog “Roon”. He was very rich and took good care of them until suddenly things turned around and he could hardly feed himself, let alone his two pets. One day he said to them: "Go away, both of you. Find another master who can provide what you need to survive, now that I have nothing to offer.” At first they refused, but when he insisted, Ork thought, “If I go away, I will reduce the burden on the master, since he will have less to provide for. The little he gets will be enough for him, if he doesn't have to share with me”. So Ork conceded and flew far away into the thick for green pastures. Roon, on the other hand, refused to leave. It said, “I can’t imagine life with anyone else. I will stay with you, and if we both die of hunger, then so be it” To the old man, Ork was considerate and Roon was committed. When his long lost Nephew returned and asked him which one of these two pets loved him more, and deserved to be favoured, it was hard for the old man to choose between the considerate but NOT committed Ork and the committed but NOT considerate Roon. My thought: "Consideration and Commitment are two crucial qualities in the choice of a life partner. Can one really be placed over the other...?"
