@all you people are here moaning and groaning when u can get most of this thing for free, get a DAARSAT decoder and u can track multi tv for free, latest nigeria movies 24hrs, sport includes La liga, french championate, budesliga, lots of action movies as well, and if u are in love with 24hrs series they show it everyday, well as d says goes, my people are destroy for lack of knowledge,

I think i must say something on this thread now, 'cos am just too bitter about HITV and their magomago. HITV increased their subscription fee 'cos they'll be showing more football matches viz laliga, seria, epl & uefa champs. But they've confirmed now that laliga's right was lost (so the sub fee should reduce). Even the italian league been shown was all these bottom three clubs. Why cant they show Acmilan VS Inter? Imagine i have to go to viewing center to watch that entertaining match, when i have a month subs on my HITHIEF card? When this subs expire, i am not paying a dim again, viewing centers here i come. And for the viewing centers, most of them are not even on HITHIEF platform again, just buy a very big dish and contact ur installer, u will get aljazera 1 to 6, show time etc with live football matches. all fotball leageus and sport. If u neeed a dish and decoder, mine is up for sale at a very reasonable and reduced price.

Towards the end of 2008/09 season. HITV deceived many susbscribers through an ad: "12 reasons why you must suscribe to HITV (or something)". The ad deceived us that viewers will watch live matches from EPL, SPL, La Liga, Seria A, F.A. Cup, Carling Cup, ECL, ACL, etc. We now know better.

Well as for me, my mind is made up. DSTV is it! I've got MYTV already. Afterall, viewer shall not live by football alone , !

Meanwhile I saw an ad from HITV in the newspaper over the weekend threatening to use all legal means to deal with CTL and others who are infringing on their exclusivity rights. Hope "others" is not referring to Free-to-Air channels (that show live matches)? Perhaps they would seek the help of Aso Rock, White House and British Paliament to put an end to these enemies of their progress, forever.

So Hi Tv has one year left on its EPL contract, gets the rights to other soccer leagues and is gearing up to get other league matches and all of a sudden, a previously encrypted channel, Showtime and Al-Jazeera, who have the rights for the Arab world including N. Africa suddenly unencrypt their channels (only unencrypted in Nigeria. It is scrambled in all countries outside Nigeria) so that any Tom, Richard and Harry with a dish can pick up the signal and any cable carrier can broadcast it where they don't have the rights. Interesting!

Hitv website states that they just won an award in the UK as the best tv in Nigeria beating the likes of AIT,BEN TV, AIT MOVIE STAR, NOLLYWOOD. Who dey deceive these guys, it also states that they haveor they are about to reach the 50 million subscribers mark, aw many people dey naija? shuo!!!!!!

Whats the source of the news? Besides, anything above N4, 500 and it would still be a hard sell and not worth it. I will not pay subscription at N5,000. The only way i may consider it is if its 4.5k. That is an acceptable percentage of increase. Not 50% increase at a go.

You guys wait for the weekend for world cup qualifiers and you would feel like throwing your hitv into the gutter. DSTV on the other hand , will have it all.

There is a legal battle about to ensue. Hitv still has sole rights to premiership in Nigeria. If CTL dont have an agreement with HITV, then they are in for some trouble.

My brothers, i do not think you can compare CTL with HITV when you talk of sport coverage. The recent info is that, Hitv lost in the law suit agaist CTL. Even yourfriend can confirm it. Hicriminals have lost market in the east to CTL. Its just the begining. Even their boss who is a lawyer could not save them in the cour.

I think we need to start a mass attack on this Hithief on facebook and twitter, let the whole world know they are not up to the task, imagine me washing the same old movie within 3days interval? starwars, house of wax etc for more than a month now, i have watch it on HITHIEF many times.
NO LALIGA, the lost the right, the italian league the can show are selected ones, no local league matches, nations cup/world cup qualifiers, international friendlies etc. I'll have to depend on NTA, AIT GALAXY or supersport to watch NIG VS TUNISIA tomorrow, am pissed off, angered, frustrated, am just sorry for them, 'cos they are going down, Aljazeera and showtime is now on FREE to AIR, enjoy it!
