Man, 22 with the name Nuhu Tambala has been arrested and is presently with thecriminal Investigation Department of Kaduna State police command for armed robbery and raping.

The suspect according to the Police Public Relation Officer, Kaduna Command DSP Zubairu Abubakar, was arrested on the 18th of January,2016 at the Gadan Gaya market when he was identified by the victims as the man who raped her some days ago.

The police’s First Investigation report revealed that the suspect on the 15th January 2016 went to the farm of the victim and saw her harvesting Soya beans. The suspect was said to have asked the victim if she got the permission of her husband before coming to the farm.

The report added that when the victim replied that her husband permitted her to come to the farm, the said Nuhu now asked her when last her husband had sexual relation with her. Looking at the stupidity of the question, the victim was said to have ignored Nuhu and continued with her work on the farm.

Nuhu was said to have then pulled out a machete and grabbed the victim’s wrapper,then threatened to kill her if she raised any alarm. He pulled the victim into the bush and asked her to bring out the money on her. She produced N3,400 which the suspect collected and then asked her to lie down and show him how her husband did it last time.

The suspect, according to the victim removed his trouser and all pleas by the victim especially considering her age fell on deaf ears as he was bent on having his way with her. The victim put in a little resistance, this resulted in the suspect inflicting injuries on both her hands. At this junction, Nuhu was said to have had sexual intercourse with her against her will.

Speaking to our correspondent at the police head quarters, Kaduna, Nuhu said he is a farmer and father of two and his wife gave birth about a month ago, while blaming his action on the devil.

However, Nuhu said he did not penetrate into the woman but was enjoying himself on her laps until, he finally got satisfied. He said after the incident, he kept away from Ugwan Sokoto in Gadan Gaya but on the 18th of January,2016 he took his potatoes to the market for sale and behold he was face to face with the victim.

Although, Nuhu tried to escape, he was apprehended by the people around who later handed him over to the police from Rigachukwu division of Nigeria police.

The Investigating police officer debunked the claim by Nuhu that he didn’t penetrate the victim because medical report carryout on the suspect on the day she was raped shows there was vaginal penetration and some fluid coming out from her vagina which shows that there was actual penetration.
