Charly68: are you for real ?..you are gravely in denial ..look at the state of your loved continent , Oyibo are no more in your continent and its still a mess ..you should grow and stop praying stupid and ineffective prayers - you are basically practicing spiritual laziness -( i.e praying to God what he has empowered you to do for yourself and doing what God has not empowered to do .... for example .seek his face for peace and security and Joy which material things cannot provide ) ..see a reply below for your African head : Why wouldn't they beam the searchlight on Africa? A continent where the Heads of State steal from their people and ferry the money to other continents and then turn to oppress their own citizens. Is there any American/European/Asian President/Prime minister that stashed her national wealth in Africa? African Heads of Government oppress their own people while the Western Governments fight wars to protect theirs 4 Likes |

/ Good for them. On the flip side, they'd better be ready to lend one another money that they don't have. He who pays the piper determines the tune. The West May probably turn off their IMF and World Bank loans tap. And worst case scenario place sanctions and embargo on Nigeria oil until the fat lady sings. Africa as a continent has refused to grow intellectually, politically and economically. They are beggars and beggars we know have no choice. / 2 Likes |

they should not leave ICC. How will african leaders not be targeted when they r the least capable of ensuring thier citizens well being. If african leaders prove they can make the right decisions to eliminate hunger and suffering experienced by thier citizens maybe the focus on them will reduce 1 Like |

“Leaving the ICC with no credible mechanism for justice for mass crimes in sight would be an error of colossal proportions,” Kenya’s Daily Nation said in an editorial. “It is far better for member states to stay in the court and advocate reforms, rather than bolting and leaving millions on the continent unprotected by an international court which can step in when national institutions fail.” If you have nothing to fear, u need not run from lightening. Our leaders should stop being evil. All they are trying to protect are thier looted fund since they can nnever enjoy it where it was stollen. They are looking for peace elsewhere after perpetuating monumental evil. No peace for d wicked 3 Likes |

Their proposal is insignificant as long as it does not make the international community go blind each time tyranny is revisited on the African soil. If at any time the IC(international community)is found of service to the uncompromising defeat of evil leaders,it shall not fail. My humble opinion: The proposal should be quietly dropped for the sake of our longing for a less endangered Africa. |

African leaders are the targets of ICC because all the know is steal, loot, under develope Africa and to commit crimes against humanity.A typical example is what's going on in Nigeria. The criminals are looking for a way to avert punishment after they must have carried out series of crimes. They must remain members so their excesses could be curtailed.Brainless thieving fools. 2 Likes |

I see many ignorant posts on this thread. For the ICC simply "fighting a war" does not constitute war crimes. ICC doesn't care if Nigeria invades Cameroon or not, it is more interested in a country killing its own citizen indiscriminately and illegally because of their tribe or political affiliations which many African leaders are guilty of. Technically, Bush can't be prosecuted for war crimes except there are evidence he was killing civilians indiscriminately and he gave his support to such killings. 5 Likes |

OnankpaBa: It's not about turning it into APC/PDP thread. You know what these people can do if they ain't been check mated. Imagine what Buhari would have done to the Shia muslims if Nigeria isn't under ICC, imagine what would have become of the pro Biafra protesters if these courts ain't there. Do you think any African has the ball to pull out of ICC? If it was that easy, they would have done that since. African equivalent would have the ball to try an African head of state, not even Togo or Niger, so it would be a waste of money. It will only succeed with Western support. So what is the need? #IstandWithICC |

All I see is struggle to evade justice after committing atrocities while in power. A typical African leader wants to be in power ad infinitum at all costs. It is a genetic code encoded in all of them. Now some people are saying the western leaders are not being tried by ICC. The question that comes to mind is do they play the style of politics that is characteristic of African leaders? Again, is there any case filed against them (western leaders) that ICC ignored to prosecute? Why are these African cabals pushing for outright pull out on the grounds that they are only singled out by ICC and not been carried along they can call the attention of ICC on these issues. I think it will be proper and better for them to eschew those inhumane actions and inactions that drag their names to ICC. Finally, if these African cabals succeed, then, the common man in the society is finished! The voice of the voiceless will be shut!! And African democracy and democratization will be ultimately weakened!!! |

sameer1212:have you heard of any European leader that have held on to power even after the end of his tenure. or have you heard of an European leader that orders the shooting of unarmed protesters? the answer is NO. black Africans are naturally wicked, they want their way even if it means violating the right of their fellow human being |

The West are hypocrites! Do you know how many innocent lives were taken by drone attack in Parkistan, Afghaniatan and Iraq by U.S drones and Soldiers? and no ICC came knocking on their doors. Who gave them the right to enter Lybia and violated her sovereignty? So many innocent lives were lost. Today Iraq, Afghan and Lybia are worse off than the "saviours" met it. The West are cheats who got to where they are by brutal force, violence and stealing. And they are still making a fool of us. They preach what they havent finished practising. They tell us it is equal right and justice, but they lie. Down at the U.N, it note equal right. 5 of them (US, UK, France, Russia and China) have special right. Each can render the vote of over 100 nation irrelevant. They are hypocrites deceiving the rest of us. Deceiving people trying to change our culture that is superior to theirs in many ways!à |

If not for the ICC, blood thirsty charles taylor would still be a free man. I know no continent is perfect but can anyone point any region with more violence than africa? i am not talking about war torn regions like syria and iraq. The sad thing with the African scenario is that 8/10 times, the elected leaders sponsor these violence against their own people in other to perpetuate themselves in office. ICC SHOULD KEEP AFRICAN LEADERS ON THEIR TOES. 1 Like |

The African leaders should shut the hell up. They are the the most animalistic creatures before God. 89% of extrajudicial killings sanctioned by governments around the world happen in Africa. They gag the press, they kill unarmed protesters, make political opponents disappear and now they want to run from their shadows so they can perpetuate themselves in power. No way! They can't manufacture a single bullet, but they can run to the same Americans and European government to get guns with which they kill their own people. Damn them all! So what now? You wanna acquire US and Euro weapons but don't want to be told how to be apply caution using those weapons on your people? Did they make bullets for you to perpetuate yourself in power? Listen up, you damned African apes that call yourselves leaders, if you want to leave the ICC, then don't use a single weapon manufactured by sane humans in the west. Go back to using your catapults, bows and arrows as it was in the beginning, only on that condition may you leave the ICC. As long as Al-Bashir used western- manufactured weapons to kill his political opponents, he remains a fugitive. He must face ICC and give account of his wickedly use of those weapons. We don't care if sudan is a member of ICC or not. Hope you are also listening Mr Buhari? Don't think you will be given express freedom to kill people as you want. God help you empty-skulled, thieving and autocratic African leaders as you go back to your bows and arrows. |
