I recommend the guys read "The 8 Personality Types That Naturally Attract Women" by David DeAngelo, a dating guru. I was the wuss type until I learned the secret from most of his dating materials, like "Double Your Dating", "Mastery with Women and Dating". This guy actually changed my view with women, and before I knew it, I started seeing myself with hot ladies(not actually dating all, but they find it fun being around me because of my cocky comedy stuff), the types I always wanted, but never could get them with the wuss (nice guy) type. A guy with good sense of humour can easily be found within the bad boy type. Nice guys note this, "Women wants challenges", if you're not giving it to them, they will look for it else where.
