It is PMB and kemi that caused the crash in the price of oil right?

When this silly woman was finance minister for many years oil prices were way high over $100. She and the ineffectual buffoon refused to plan ahead and diversify our economy. like oil will last forever

we are paying for the price of their stupidity now.
oil sells now for $40 per barrel thats $10 more than the bench mark in our budget it's no longer fair to blame our economic limbo on oil. she advocated for fuel subsidy removal but was thwarted by the ethnic sentiments prevalent in our country. Accepted she is all and some more of what u alleged, it doesn't hide the fact that this present economic team is inept. am beginning to think that the oga on top didn't have an economic blueprint to enforce his change mantra

keep quiet.

She was there as Minister of finance that supervised wanton looting of the national treasury. What did the nation achieve under her especially when crude oil sold for $120 per barrel?

Absolutely nothing! Yet iPod fools want us all to believe the IMF puppet is the best thing on earth, that's why they are constantly looking for faults with the new Minister and PMB who are cleaning up her mess of over 6yrs.

puff puff woman.

despite all the looting that happened during her time as the minister of finance, our economy was 100times better than as it is now. imagine if there was no looting done during her time..

sometimes I wonder how illiterates like you manage to know how to type on nairaland.

The downward slide in the economy started under her watch cos she failed to diversify the economy and even save from the excess crude reserve which she and her cohorts looted.

Now that global oil price has fallen with oil being the only thing your country exports, freaks like you expect buhari to use a magic wand to rectify the situation.

Blame your goddess for failing to do what's right. The only thing that makes you all think she's better is because she's an Harvard graduate. Harvard on paper.

Illiteracy is when you kept the blame game forever and when you failed to understand that Nigeria has other means to get out of the present mess. Stop the blame mr man.

Budget is $38 and the price has crash again just a week at $40.

The excess is what we need for saving and capital projects, like new refinery, power plant and Road.

In this article she claims dubai started more than 3 decades ago to prepare for a future without oil... so she knew all these yet she and her boss preferred to prepare for a future without oil for their families alone by looting us dry and sharing 2.1billlion dollars and disappearing 20billion dollars from NNPC.

we are paying for the price of their stupidity now.

Do u people know what it means to diversify the economy? GEJ and co were doing that through boosting local rice production, You win programs and other youth oriented programs..........the snag about issues we are having in Nigeria is continuity.......every administration wants to be known for introducing a set of programs.......How I wish we av an economic agenda in this administration............it will unite all stakeholders through its passion and by its accountability.

You may blame her because she was the finance minister , But the reality was that this lady was the best Nigerian finance minister ever, you may disagree with me, but that is the truth. What are the work of ministers, Its to formulate policies and she did that well you can not blame her for what someone else did just because she was the minister, that doesn't mean she has nothing to answer , Nothing is 100%,And governance is not easy no matter how anybody approach it . You can't blame her for the looting that education ministry or NSA for instance, it was not her legal obligations to supervise other ministries that is why we have the auditors. Hate her or love her she did a tremendous job during her time as finance minister . Our problem in Nigeria is we lack continuity in as much as every government bring with it a new governing teams and ideas it is good for a new government to continue with policies that was working well with last administration . I live here in America George bush as American president was bad but still Obama left some of his policies because they where working well .. If this present minister of finance in Nigeria will go back to some of madam Ngozi's policies believe you me Nigeria will have a good policy direction because right now Nigeria has no financial policy direction and that is why our country is in comatose. I'm not in anyway defending GEJ administration i have always see GEJ as a weak president he was not a strong leader in any ramification but i have no doubt and i have argued with friends that GEJ's policies if a strong leader will be in position to implement it, to be honest Nigeria as country will be in good shape..

What about the foreign reserve that has almost dried up. She accounted for that too.

That is what she was doing as our finance minister. It's not something that can be accomplished overnight.
As for the looting, she was not responsible for that. She was not the president, or chairman of EFCC or IG of police. The present administration needs to continue with the transformation process started by the last administration.

How did she help Nigeria for the past 16 years compared to kemi 5 months.

You are wrong here

What is wrecking the economy are the forex restrictions which Buhari introduced in 2015.

His refusal to devalue the naira officially and his exclusion of 41 goods from the CBN forex window are the causes of the current mayhem.

If 1billion naira was chasing $1b, what will the rate be? If 1b was chasing $500m, will it still be the same?

Buhari is not an economist and he is imposing his wack economic policies on the country

To imagine she was not only the longest serving Finance Minister in Nigeria but also the coordinating minister of the Nigerian economy for the longest spell of oil boom in her history. A coordinating minister of an economy is just like a Prime Minister. And what have we to show for it?!
