Mr. Olaseni Oshifala who is accused of molesting his students at Queen's College
The recent allegations of sexual assault levelled against a male teacher, Mr. Olaseni Oshifala, of Queen's College Yaba has finally been formally addressed by the school authorities.

The scandal started when a parent who has now being identified as Mrs. Chinenye Okoye revealed to a blog that her daughter who is a JSS 2 student of the school had complained of the teacher touching her inappropriately when she went to ease herself just before lights out at the hostel. She alleged that Mr. Oshifala, who has been confirmed to be a Biology teacher
at the school, is usually drunk and loiters close to the girls' hostel since his accomodation is near there.

After the news broke on the internet, lots of other ex and current Queen's college students also confirmed the girl's allegation saying the man has been molesting girls for a long time now but he has never been punished because one of the vice principals was protecting him.

The school principal, even released an official statement vouching for the man's character and competence; saying all allegations of molestation against him in the past had all proved to be baseless.

Not wanting the good name of their alma mater to be tarnished, The Queen's College Old Girls Association (QCOGA) convened a meeting with the school authorities on Sunday and it was resolved that the school would be given 48 hours for its investigative panel to look into the allegations and come up with a verdict.

No smoke without fire. The school should have gone a step further to suspend the man pending result of the investigation and the panel should consist of external and independent persons
