zim thanks joo.the problem is that the system alternates between normal and discoloured display,so many distorted colors.the other one splits the screen to four parts and the worst part is that i've forgotten the password to the hard disk.
erm,there's this one that won't power up at all,but it charges when plugged into light.zim,i'll appreciate if you'll help me the explain surgically what the problem is.thanks my man

And maybe its BIOS related, cos it was when I updated my BIOS that my screen became blank.

sir, i have got an acer aspire as3810t laptop. recently, i could power it on and the lcd will be blank and there is nothing i know that i could do to restore the blank screen. sometimes, i will remove the battery. maybe, after some hours, when i power it again it will come up properly and display on the screen. i need some help. this is very embarrassing and frustrating
