jiggar: Guys i am back again, i faced some issues that got me worried concerning partitioning my harddisk. Attached below are the latest screenshots of my latest trial.

Access denied...are you using admin account?

and it's just 179MB you can get on the new partition..so bro it's not work it...get a bigger hard disk or move your files from the present hard disk before you shrink.

That means it is not the booting the problem. The problem is loading too many programs at start-up. There is different between booting and program start-up.

Press Windows key + R ,type msconfig into RUN and click OK. Click 'Startup' and disable many of the programs and restart the system. Or download ccleaner and install it. Open it, select 'Tools'and click 'Startup'. Under 'Windows' highlight the files below it and click 'disable' which is to you right-hand side of the dialogue to disable them. And, restart your system

Are you a bit of a techie...? if you can maneuver your way through this...then follow this steps.

When the pc is starting up press F2 for set up if it's a dell and F10 or Esc if it's and hp or toshiba.

Go to boot sequence and select your CD/DVD as first to boot.

Then insert the Window 7 DVD .

Restart the computer .

Let the windows files load.

Click "Repair my computer".

The program would ask for the Driver Installation disk, and them the computer logo appeared. right click on the computer logo and open properties. In properties uncheck the compressed options. Close all pages and star up again. The computer would back to normal.

Am most delighted at your response but after trying the options you suggested it remained the same.
The real picture is this:
The laptop am using is an Acer AMD Turion, which is why I think didn't make your suggestion work and the screen message I mentioned above appeared first on the screen thereby halting the booting process. Once again,I appreciate your expertise. Respond pls.
