Thank you for the above enquiry. This behaviour can occur if Windows update installed genuine advantage

click start > run > and type in appwiz.cpl at the top tick show update and scroll down till you see windows genuine advantage or
melicious software removal tool uinstall both  and restart your computer. if no joy take it to a technician

Does the connection cut out by itself. e.g. when sending mails do you get dong sound to
indicate disconnection.

Update your IE from 7 to 8 http://www.microsoft.com/windows/internet-explorer/default.aspx

Make sure laptop wireless is not switched on as this interfere with the 3G connection.

@ Tosic, Do you have an updated anti virus software on your computer? If not, you do need one.

Another thing i'll suggest is for you to remove any unnecessary applications you dont need or use. That way, you'll be able to reserve your computer's resources for the programs that you actually need.

Better yet, post your computer specs here

Download autoruns from:
http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/sysinternals/bb963902.aspx

Run this tool and locate the lines that load those entries, and remove them.

You may also read more about this utility to get better knowledge.

scrool down to windows update and make sure windows update
is started and set to start automatically. if no joy try stopping and
disabling it then try again. Also use google to find out how
you can turn off your firewall then try the windows update again and remember to turn it back on.

Make sure your clock and date is set right by accessing it on your right hand side.

hello, pls i av d same problem like checko,but mine is just 1 unlike his own that is 3 errror msgs.
but i followed ur advice after downloading the autorun stuff it showed me the files that were not found which i believe is causing the problem,i tried deleting them from the autorun window but it says ERROR DELETING START SETTING:ACCESS IS DENIED.

Have you checked the system resolution, it could be that it was reduced. Right click on your desktop, click on properties and then check for the resolution and try increasing it.
